Hi all,

Thought I would start up this thread if anyone else is sending in their CA license application around this time. I will keep it updated and hope to help anyone else going through the same process. I really hope I get my license by 12/31/13 so I can truly say I am class of 2013! Sent my paperwork in via certified mail – return receipt. Now the waiting game begins…..

Congratulations!

I sent my application in, in early September. About 3 weeks later, they sent me back a message telling me they got my documents, even though they cashed in my check 2 weeks before the letter they sent me. About 2 weeks ago, they sent me another message saying that they received all the documents necessary to start the reviewing process.

Then last week they sent me another message….ASKING FOR MORE MONEY! But, they said this was for the license fee which is independent of the application fee I sent earlier. -_-

But it did mention that I will be approved and they will give me my license number once they receive the money!

@Faintear – Thanks for the input. Sounds like you had a smooth process, hoping for the same. I know my extra transcripts were sent in this week, I did my livescan last week so I hope they have everything when my application gets in. Oh and my experience sign off was mailed today also.

So, how much is the license fee? I know it depends on when you apply because they go by the month of your birthday or something….but I couldn't seem to find any info – a rough estimate? How much for the license fees?

I know the application is $250………this license is WAY too expensive if you add up all the fees………..

Congrats on being done, guys! I can't wait to join the club! Still need to pass AUD & ethics exam…

Robot, we're in the same boat. Sent in my application on Thursday. It was exciting to drop that puppy in the mail! Received the return receipt today.

Good luck getting the license in 2013!

I sent in my application on Feb. 26, 2013 and the license number showed up online May 15, 2013. It showed up online at least a week before it came in the mail. I was checking several times a day lol. But mine was held up because Livescan never works for me, yet they have to let it fail twice and then do the background check with my name. That nonsense probably added a month to the process.
