thanks for giving us new hope. far didn't prove doable yet for me. so hopefully this time…i just have the problem that I run out of time…welll, it's not just that. if i just run out of time but do all mc correct then it will be fine… so there is more than just running out of time…

Yes, it is doable. There were, maybe, 2 – 3 mcq on the third teltlet that took me 2-3 minutes to answer. I reread the question 3 times and tried to calculate the answer for 2 to 3 times, too, but I couldn't get the right answer. So, i just omitted and picked the answer closest to my answer. And proceeded to the next, and the next. I felt the need to go to the bathroom but set it need aside for the fear that i would run out of time, too.

I've seen several questions from wiley book and maybe a couple from cpareviewforfree.com. Now, i could say that review questions are harder than the actual test questions. But, yes, it is doable. Review courses just bombard you with all these difficult and tricky problems. On the other hand, it's okay ‘coz at least we are prepared for the worst.

hey guys. planning on sitting for this section either late july/early august. this is my last section and i've passed everything the first round through. i'm preping using becker.

for those of you that have taken far and preped with becker, how did you do on the MC questions your first go around? i'm finishing up F5 and am scoring in the 40-70% range the first go around. the other sections i was scoring usually in the 60-70% range and passed just fine.

this section is such a monster…

IRS guy – Same boat as you. I passed the other 3 the first time. I was getting about a 60-80% on the MC on the first go around for FAR. I studied (including watching the lectures) for a little less than 100 hours. Feel decent about how I did on Saturday – compared to the fact that I thought I had about a 5% chance to pass REG and got an 87. FAR is a fair exam – but there is so much material that they cannot test you on everything. I only saw 1 question on a topic that Becker focused on for over an hour and 2 questions that they spent less than 10 minutes on. It just depends on the topics you are tested on. 40-70% is not far off. You just need to focus on the ones that you are getting 40-50% on.

Just got done with the exam. Wow. FAR definitely lived up to the hype. This exam b*tch slapped the sh*t out of me. I am sure that I failed.

without being too specific, can you tell us what was difficult on your exam. i got just positive feedback so far this window. people say it's fair almost “easy”… i was starting to feel uneasy…

It is just so much info. An overwhelming amount of info to have to know. And then the sims…they were just very difficult. The hardest part is that it is so much info.

It was not even close to easy for me.

Took the exam on 7/1. I have taken FAR 3-times, feeling as prepared as possible for all 3…

1st testlet… easy as heck.

2nd testlet… OMG, starting to give up…. questions were SOOOO specific.

3rd testlet… A little less intense than the 2nd testlet, but was still in shock from the 2nd testlet that I am pretty sure I guessed a lot here too…

Both SIMs were easier than the first two times I took FAR (72 & 74 BTW…)… but not sure that I did very well on them… some were very involved… some a little more straight foward!!! COMs always do ‘Stronger' on… and I am pretty sure I got at least 1 of the 2 research questions…

It's in gods hands now…

Wow Finance guy congrats on taking the beast I pushed my exam date to August 25. I felt so unprepared just got done with all the MCQ's from Becker CPA material for chapters one and two and have a fair understanding of whats going on in these chapters. Hopefully I will have enough time to complete everything by August 25. If you don't mind me asking what did the MCQ's in your exam focus on? What topics were your sims focusing on?
