You should call them, I dont think so because they really just look at your name but just call to make sure. Also look at your NTS that has full description, but I remember it just saying that the spelling of your name has to match exactly.

call in monday. they shouldn't have a problem with your address but your name has to read the same as on your application.

Thanks guys, I will definitely call and double check with them. but I also just took a look at the state boards website and it seems that spelling of the name marching is more important.

@hopeful, ya I'm probably going to call in since I don't think I could even focus at work if I was there. lol

I'm doing the miscellaneous section in WTB, well finished..very upset with what i got wrong with foreign currency, segment and inter period reporting, did alright with partnership accounting..if I'm taking it 8/31..when should i start my ten hour cram days?

i really hope what i went over today will retain in my brain. only have to do financial instruments and gov't and nfp in the WTB. then ill probably switch back to becker

feeling hopeless, especially after reading some peoples stories of how they been doing this for years after years and still have not gotten through it all.

I'm going into my senior year of my undergrad, obviously accounting major. i work part time 3 days a week at a firm by my house, but am taking the 3 weeks off before. i think from the 12th thru the 31st (exam day) i will have off.

you got plenty of time. you'll find you're not comfortable with some concepts until a week out or so then you just got drill those in. if you have the time i'd get in as many hours as you can now then you can take better breaks, you're less nervous as the time gets closer and it'll reduce having to cram in hours closer in when you're about to burn out.

EPS is my current nemasis. i keep distracting myself because i just don't care about it. at all.

i'm wondering if i should continue to focus on it till i pick it up today or move on and come back to it – it'll be closer to exam date so maybe i'll care more and it'll retain in this shortterm memory of mine. but then maybe i'll still waste time and it'll be closer to exam day. distracting myself continues…..

FAR in 2 days. So ready to squash this thing. I'm doing batches of 15-20 MCQs at a time then chill for a bit then do another 15-20.

@jpowell – get the denominator down, weighted average # of common shares outstanding..

    general rule i use:

if its issue 1/1 – use the full amount

when it issued on say 4/1 you take the amount issued x 9/12 – the amount of months in the full year it'll apply

stock dividends and stock splits no matter when they are given apply to the entire year

EPS is one thing i can't stand.especially diluted with cumulative preferred dividends…

do you think it would be a good idea to look into Q2 and gage myself on how i can handle those questions?

i just don't really feel like doing anymore MCQ today…

Also, do you all re-read the review book?

I found out today that I passed FAR with an 81 =)

Just a couple of things I learned while taking the test

-Make sure you leave at least an hour and a half for sims…I only left myself with an hour and was rushing

-I freaked out a little bit (ok, alot) before the test because I looked at my notes and saw that I didn't remember some things. Try to avoid doing that!!

Good luck everybody!! Now on to REG…

    FAR - 81
    REG - 74, 87
    AUD - 88
    BEC - 88

    @bobcat, goodluck – sounds like a plan – don't fizzle out!

@hopeful – i got the concepts down (i think) but then i do questions and it's like i've never seen them before. it's the diluted p00 that gets me…to be fair i probably skimmed over it the first time around as well. just need to spend some more time on it but i think that's a first thing in the morning with coffee “ready to STUDY” time. by this time of day i'm thinking about what i can do to stay productive with deteriorating motivation and attention span. i'm hungry. and bored….there's a bottle of wine staring at me out of the corner of my eye………………………..

i dont re-read the review book but i do make very detailed notes in my initial study phase. to the point that i almost copy the book first go. i was at 160 typed pages (it was more like 80 with the other sections) when i started and then chopped it down to 100 first review. now as i go through chapters i chop out stuff that seems obvious to me now or is repetitive…or i know i will only remember through MCQ rather than theory. i'm still with 65 pages but will get down to half of that by Monday and then hopefully have 0.5-1 page per chapter to review daily when i have a week to go. if an area isn't sticking i'll watch that portion of the lecture or flick through the book to see if there's something i didn't pick up that helps
