Are we now in the testing window where we can expect scores in 2 to 4 weeks instead of months?

    Anyone have information on this?

    BEC 84
    FAR 80
    AUD 85

Take my advice with a grain of salt as I have not yet sat for FAR (10/28). But one method that I have stuck with using Becker that yielded good scores on AUD and BEC: I watch every lecture, read the section, then do the HW. Do all the Supplemental questions and TBS. Then, the second time going through the material. I don't re-watch any lectures, but do re-read every page in the book, then for each small section I take a quiz doing 50% of all the questions that I had already completed at some point in the course. I find that by the time I get through F9 and get back to F1, I can't remember much of the questions, so it is like taking a new quiz. This method has worked for me, I realize it requires a lot of time.

To maybe give some relief and perspective to those of you who are very concerned…I had a friend score a 90% on FAR and she did not complete 6 of the 7 TBS. Meaning she did all Multiple Choice and 1 of the 7 TBS and that was it. She is very very bright so maybe got near 100% on the MC, but still.

Did she fill in ANYTHING on the 6 or leave them completely blank?

    AUD - 88
    FAR - 90
    REG - 85
    BEC - 88

From my understanding, they were left completely blank as the MC took her like 3.5 hrs. Maybe she was messing with me, but isn't really the type to lie or joke about that kind of stuff.

I am debating whether to take FAR in the end of the November testing window or wait to take it until the beginning of the January 2012 testing window. Any idea what kind of changes I should expect to take place for the 2012 version of the exam? I am concerned that if there is a lot of new material for 2012 that my study material will be outdated should i wait to take the exam in January.

@Youngbizman I'm taking on 10/28 too! And used becker as well. I finished F9 couple of weeks ago. and started the quizes from F-1, and forgot most of the stuff. 🙁 There is a lot of information to remember. I have made myself some final notes, which I'll go through at work until friday, and planning on to take sims and mcq test every night. I can't wait till its over. I have studied so much that it makes me throw up every time I see FAR stuff.

    Hi,

I'm a long time listener, first time caller…

    kkopp09 –

I'm waiting until Jan. 3rd to take FAR. In a perfect world, I want to take it in December but we all know that can't happen. So, I'm holding off until the 1st of the year. I haven't heard of any major changes in the material. I am using Becker 2011 software.

    B - 80 8/26/11
    A - 90 7/2/11
    R - TBD 5/?/12
    F - 84 1/3/12

    Oh FAR!!!!

I had issues with bonds, those are now solved……….Now I have issues with not for profit. I guess I just have to dedicate some time and that's all.

I need to pass this test, not because expiration or any of that, but because I don't want to listen to Peter and Tim talking about financial account never again 😉

My test is on 11/7 and I was thinking on ordering Yaeger cram, but I guess it is not going to be here on time ;(

    Good Luck to All!!!

    Done 😉

Govt and Not-for-profit are also very important to know. Most of my friends used Wiley and passed. It is luck of a draw on the real exam. I have friends who studied some of the material in 2 weeks and passed with a 93. Other friends who studied at least 300 hours and not passed. Feel happy for the lucky ones and be very supportive for the others–they are just as good as those who passed.

    @canson16

you're not alone. Now I'm on the second week since I started to study for FAR and still I'm on module 9. I was so frustrated with the time that this module took me and was wondering if the remaining modules need same length of time. I heard significant changes are made on module 9a per the CD released with July update by Yaeger. I'm gonna have that CD on January.

For those that are using or have used Yaeger… when Cindy tells you what the keywords are for each chapter does this mean to know these definitions by heart? I agree that Module 9 is forever long as I am half way through 9d.
