@Marivy22–Thanks for the advice. I had a breakthrough last night and decided no matter how bad I feel about this exam I'm going to bite the bullet at take it on Wednesday. I hate financial accounting all together and postponing the exam is only postponing the inevitable failure. So, I figured I'll sit for the exam and pray that by some miracle I scrape up enough points to pass. Wednesday at 1:00pm I'll remove all FAR from my head and focus on REG. I love tax and currently work as a tax accountant so I'm hoping that section will go smoothly. After November 30 I'll go back to studying FAR and work on passing it in January….that is if I pass REG as planned in November 🙂

was feeling a bit overwhelmed and on the verge of giving up on FAR than watched video yesterday.

iam going to devote the next 6 weeks to FAR and nothing else.

also changing study habits a bit. Iam just going to read the chapters and do MCQ's and probably review lectures when I go through the material.

this for those of you that are lackin motivation atm

well I took FAR yesterday. It wasn't as bad as Becker made it seem but, it was definitely hard. Those sims get me every time. At least scores will be released in a few weeks. Good luck everyone else!

one other thought…has anyone ever had their computer mess up during the exam? Yesterday as I began the sims, the computer froze then a box popped up saying critical error. I had to leave the room as the proctors restarted the computer and was able to continue after about 10 minutes. This won't affect my answers for the MC will it?

Can someone please clarify the grading on the CPA exam (already read about the Item Response Theory)? If you get the question wrong, obviously it's worth 0 points. Are some questions worth less than 1 point? Are some questions worth more than 1 point? Anyone know for sure?

There is so much information. And when I'm doing the problems, I do just fine. But when I take sample quiz/test, I forget everything. 🙁 There is so much information!!!! Its ridiculous. I have gone through becker lectures and homework problems. I finished F9 couple of weeks ago, and I thought I just need to review the last couple of weeks, but I'm having to go over the material and re-learn almost everything. Its so frustrating. I just can't wait till its over. UGH!

CPAHopefulTX, where did you take the exam? I'm in Dallas/Irving. I'm taking my exam in Bedford. If you are closeby, let me know, may be we can study together.

@FAREW… thanks a lot for your help… I am also taking my exam on coming Thursday (10/27) I am so nervous. I havent finished studying for the Governmental section yet. I will be doing governmental the whole of Sat,Sun and Monday… I am using Wiley and have reviewed almost all the questions and outlies (except governmental) almost 3-4 times.. but thinking about IFRS and governmental kills me!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK with your test on friday!!!

@ash, oh wow! You've done 3-4 times, i think you are good! Dont worry. Repition is the key. If you understand rest of the material, I think you'll be ok. But do make sure you get Government done. Know all the JEs for gov and not for profit. I just did AICPA 2011 released questions. I got a lot of them wrong, actually most of them wrong. 🙁 I'll be doing Wiley Test Bank all next week. Right now, i'm finishing temp and perm differences on deferred tax assets and liab. Good luck to you too! You'll do great!.
