    Hello everyone,

    I just found out today sadly that I did not pass Audit and will be unable to finish the four parts of the CPA Exam prior to 12/31/13. So I’ll now have to license under Pathway 2 and need 225 quarter units as opposed to the 180. I’m pretty sure I meet all of the additional accounting, business and ethics requirements(will verfiy with the CBA) under the second pathway, its the additional 45 units that I don’t have. Any one else have this dilemma? What are you doing to get quick units to license under the second pathway? And can I get this additional units through community college/online courses? Motivation to get through this thing dealt a serious blow today, but i will finish this freakin exam! Thanks so much for the help.

    From what I understand it is One year. I think this will help with showing most of the information about the new requirements

    https://www.dca.ca.gov/cba/applicants/edu_req_ppt.pdf

    I wish they had a list of colleges that they will accept credits from.

    Can now get 6 units from Roger if you take all of the courses. If you take one course you can get 3 units!

    I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

    "Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

    For anyone who has looked into the CLEP Exams, how do you know how many credits you can receive? It says anywhere from 3 to 12 based on your particular college, but what if you aren't enrolled any where and are simply looking to pass the tests? Has anyone spoken directly to the board about this issue? Thanks!

    I've done some research on CLEP courses, from the CLEP website there is a list of colleges and you can click on the college name and it will show you what they will accept for CLEP credit and how much. I don't know what we have to do to get those credits through those schools though. I was looking into this last week and as I recall SJ State accepts a lot of CLEP courses.

    https://clep.collegeboard.org/search/colleges

    That is the link to where I found the list. You can look in CA.

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
    BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
    I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.

    @StephAV

    Thanks for the post. I live in SJ so maybe I'll have to enroll at the university to get credit for these tests? Would love to just take them and provide proof to the CBA that I've passed them but for some reason I don't think it'll be that easy….

    I am in San Jose too! I found this college that has CLEP courses. Like you I am sure I cover all the Business and Accounting courses the CA board wants so I have to fill in the GAP by taking an extra 50 credits in something.

    https://www.deanza.edu/counseling/degreecert.html

    I think from the list below I could get up to 45 Credits with them on all the accounting business sociology and psychology classes.

    @InsiWinsi

    That looks like a good fit for me as well. So you'd apply and just take the CLEP tests? Seems easy enough!
