    Hey man,

Yeah, I started studying Audit right after I took FAR. I found it a lot easier and I felt like I could have taken it even earlier.

I started studying BEC but I'm waiting for my AUD results before applying/scheduling it. It's kind of rushed but I'm hoping to get it done by the first week of Jan. Not sure though because these first two chapters are a real pain to get through.

How many weeks/hours did you put into AUD? If my workload for my last graduate semester isnt too heavy I'll try to squeeze in Audit and then finish up with REG in early summer.

I am hoping to finish up chapter 1 of BEC today. Im finding it hard to get back into study mode even though its much easier to digest than FAR. Taking this on 1/15.

Not sure about hours, but about 5.5 weeks. I felt like I could have taken it at least a week earlier though.

The questions went a lot faster because it was pretty much all theory, rather than a lot of calculations (FAR).

BEC seems like a mix of theory and calcs.

For those using Becker, how much time do you spend on the simulations – Writing Memos?

I did plenty of memos in my 5 years of college, but I feel like I'm slacking off if I don't attempt them. Do you do all 3 in-depth or just read over the question and make an outline?

Also, I'm really hating the setup of BEC. Watch 2 hour lectures and then 100+ MCQ testlets per topic. Its hard to keep focus, I much prefer the FAR setup. 4-5 sections each 30-45 minute lectures then about 40-50 MCQ.

this site is basically a site to vent and whine and worry!

    INDIA - BOLLYWOOD

FAR - Salman Khan - PASSED
BEC - Aamir Khan - PASSED
AUD - Saif Ali Khan - PASSED
    REG - Shahrukh Khan - ?

Just found out a failed BEC with a 71… It was my last section too, stupid BEC… I just kept starring at the screen after I got my score. I was hoping to be celebrating over the holidays, not studying again 🙁

I wish the exam was 70 and above and not 75, I would have been golden every time!

Trying to pick myself up, tear….

    REG - 72 (Oct 2011), 74 (May 2012), 80 (July 2012)
    FAR - 77 (Feb 2012)
    AUD - 70 (Aug 2012), 89! (Oct 2012)
    BEC - 71 (Dec 2012), 75!(Feb 2013)

Get back at it, you'll get it next time. Any tips for us taking it a first time?

@ SeePeeAyy – Thanks 🙂 I'll get there… Even after failing 4x's, all within a couple points from passing, you still can't help but get down and sulk a little… all that studying and anxiously checking NASBA just builds up a little… but that's what Another71.com is for, to build you up again! 🙂

As far as advice… I think Becker MC questions are a lot more challenging than the exam. I felt the exam was more concept based than working formulas. DEFINITELY go into the Written Simulations with at least a solid hour, if you can more… I went into the Sims with about 50 something minutes left and submitted the exam with 17 seconds left on the clock! I started the 3rd essay with about 10 minutes left and by the time I read it, formulated my thoughts and began to write I had like 5 minutes haha. Just really try to pace yourself through the MC Testlets. I got held up on a few math problems that I am sure hurt my time on the Sims.

    Best of luck studying!

    REG - 72 (Oct 2011), 74 (May 2012), 80 (July 2012)

    BEC - 71 (Dec 2012), 75!(Feb 2013)

Thanks for the tips! Ugh I like calculations way more than theory. Was looking forward to a more math intensive exam.

@SeePeeAyy, we are the opposite then. I find the theory questions easier, which I guess is how I scored so well on Audit.

I guess I can officially join now. Just found out I passed REG and am tackling BEC next. Perfect timing because my Wiley book came in today. For both REG and AUD, I've used Wley book, test bank, and Ninja audio so that is my (cheap) plan this time as well.

    AUD - 84 - 5/31/12 (lost credit), re-take 5/28/14
    REG - 83 - 12/7/12
    BEC - 80 - 2/27/13
    FAR - 69 - 11/30/13, 80 - 2/28/14

I'm starting to study for BEC this week. It's my last one but I'm starting my job in January so I want to get through as much as I can the rest of this month. How is December almost half over already?!?

    FAR - 69, 87
    REG - 91
    AUD - 92
    BEC - 84

    Using Becker Self-Study

    Hi All,

I'm new to this forum. I sat for BEC Nov, 12 but unfortunately I failed with 74 using Becker Self Study, though i expected this section to be the easiest. I really want to clear BEC on Feb,13 so i'm ready to do my best the coming two months and dedicate my life to do it. I wonder if Becker would be enough or I need supplemental material to pass BEC second time?
