I have each scenerio written down, but I mean, is there a secrete to memorizing it? Each scenerio does not seem to have a pattern or overarching theory/concept for what to do.

Lol, sorry if that sounds weird. The only thing I can come up with is “memorize it” and that's it.

I don't have a “trick” for that set – but I'd love to hear if anyone else does! The frustrating thing is that, “in the real world” we would never make those decisions off the tops of our heads, we would look it up. Grrr.

I am wrapping up the last chapter tomorrow and have about 10 days for review. I've purchased Ninja MCQ. Should I spend 5 days on MCQ and 5 on SIMS? What do you guys suggest. I'll definitely target Audit procedures and some Adj. Entries. Those two areas are my weaker ones I believe. Any tips would be appreciated.

I'd say 1 day maybe 1.5 days on sims and the rest on mcqs. I would actually just sprinkle in sims along the way though and would not dedicate one entire day on them but that's just me.

@Spartans92 – I would say do a mix. I just hit the review stage on Ninja on Friday and was planning to spend the weekend on Sims but got bored after the 3rd one …so I am doing a mix now, a set of 20-30 MCQ and then 1-2 Sims. I am planning to spend couple of hours next weekend to read the letters where I get mixed up (engagement, rep letter, etc..)

yeah that's the way to do it. the sims are like the cherry on top of your MCQ sessions.

I got temporarily derailed by my FAR score for 2 days and did some karaoke. Ninja is good for a lot of you, I'm sure; but I must not be using it properly. I got a 56 – a 8 point drop from last time. I'm studying with Gleim again, but this time with a much better plan for attack. I still appreciate all the resources I got in addition with Ninja for AUD like my flashcards. Ninja keeps their word on their updates. I wish I had auditing experience, but I believe understanding management assertions is key for everything in an audit. Does anyone have any recommendations for understanding them? I just keep thinking “CAVE CROC” or “PERCV.”

I already passed FAR and Im taking BEC in January before the exam changes. After BEC should I take AUD or REG before the exam changes? Thanks!

@mefzr – you should reschedule BEC- Jan. 30th, REG – Jan. 2nd, AUD – Feb. 28th

BEC takes the least amount of time to prepare for. You should try to take all 3 in Q1, there's no reason not to. REG takes the most amount of time, excluding FAR, to study for. If I were you, I'd take these remaining 6 weeks to study REG.

I've recently passed the entire CPA exam, took me about 1 year.

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for some motivation or enlightenment with AUD. This is first section that I'm tackling. I'm not not sure what I'm doing wrong, I'm using Becker and I feel like I have memorized everything which isn't the best thing. My weakest points are in TBS. Can anyone recommend which Ninja packet to purchase, whether it's the ten point combo or just one of the review materials. I feel like I need to switch up the study material. Any other advice will be extremely helpful. Would anyone recommened studying for another section instead? See my scores below in AUD

When you have a multiple choice that you have memorized, make sure you can explain the concept behind it to get the answer. I failed the FAR and REG with another study guide and passed the next of both with Ninja multiple choice. I bought the ten point combo for BEC and AUD. I passed BEC the first try with that and I hope to pass AUD the same way in December. I don't like to tell anyone what to do because everyone learns differently. But I do well with doing multiple choice questions repeatedly and then reviewing the simulations. Hope this somewhat helps.

Ahhh Finally made my way through all the Becker MCQ/Sims. Ninja MCQ tomorrow! Thanks for all the replies to my question. Feeling a little better and know exactly where my weak areas are. I will be posting some questions on here occasionally and Thanks in advance for the replies. Looking to put this section in the bag, hopefully.

Just so that I understand, the becker mcq's are the homework assignments after each chapter right?

I have an old version of it (2014) and for each chapter/section it goes 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc for all of chapter 1. And same for chapter 2 and so on.

I assume you go through each homework question by question, chapter by chapter? In order?
