    Just needed some time to vent!! I hardly got anything done this whole weekend. I only got 50 problems done. Some of my family came over from GA decided to make a surprise visit.. I didnt mind but they just caught me off guard while I was studying and ended up staying for the weekend. I just couldn't studying due to their distraction and I didnt wanna leave the house because it seems rude. So I tried studying in my room while they were chatting.

    Need so much time to catch up now because I feel like I have wasted my weekend which I could be done with all the Becker chapters. The fact that I was ahead is no longer the case 🙁 just very depressing when thing dont go as planned.

    Note: I am trying to hit some more MCQ before bed since they just left 🙂

    y u say that @sticky? I did fail the first time tho lol but I would say I blame myself for not focusing and being discipline. I do plan on investing in ninja after I get through all the hw once.

    I was able to pass BEC thanks to Ninja. Hoping the same for REG (release nov. 22). Now onto AUD. I haven't been disappointed thus far.

    Haha yes they are indeed. I dont have Roger but I do watch his “free lectures” on youtube. Love his energy. Yes, I would focus on Ninja later this weekend once I get through haha. Its hard to just jump to the MCQ for me without reading the book first.. although I dont read every word I skim through it. Think it gives me a base knowledge for the most part.

    Good Luck to you!

    On the other hand, anyone have any experience with the Ninja Plus video for the AUD section? Thoughts?

    Hey guys, Im struggling a lot with the transaction cycle and Becker's hw is quite daunting with 119 problems. For those that are in similar situation or have been in such circumstance how did you make this topic “click”? Thank you.

    I understand trace vs vouch but then it asks all these assertions like cut off, valuation etc. I can't seem to see the connection on what you do with each.

    Quick question to fellow Roger students, where in the text can I find Audits for orgs. receiving federal funds? I have not completed the entire text but wanted to read this portion as I am coordinating Roger materials with NINJA MCQs .. Thanks a lot in advance !!!

    @spartans. Do you have a problem related to your question ?

    @forem004, IDK its just a general thing LOL. But here is 1..
    An auditor traced a sample of purchase orders and the related receiving reports to the purchases journal and the cash disbursements journal. The purpose of this substantive audit procedure most likely was to:

    a.
    Verify that cash disbursements were for goods actually received.

    b.
    Determine that purchases were properly recorded.

    c.
    Test whether payments were for goods actually ordered.

    d.
    Identify unusually large purchases that should be investigated further.

    I just don't get any of these things. I had trouble with this the 1st try too. I get this is for completeness but I just cant seem to apply it.

    @Sparatans92

    For that question just think of it this way;

    Why would you Trace (Look at) purchase orders to the books (purchase journal)?
    1. To see if they are recorded correctly ( amounts, correct vendor e.t.c)

    The best way is to look at this information logically – Some questions use the word trace and vouch interchangeably, in that case just look at the flow of the information.

    I wish they was an easy way but just spend some time looking over assertions they can be tricky for sure

    FAR - 80 (05/2015)

    AUD - 68 (08/2015, Retake (07/03/16)

    REG - 77 (11/2015)

    BEC - Sometime in 2016

    We are destined for this.
