Thanks Guys! @Allaboard The answer is actually d for my last questions. Becker said that it was because those expenses where in the schedule of expenditures so therefore they are identified. but it make no sense, if there is no proper documentation I'd think its B. hmm…

AUD is October 1st for me. Reading the book sufficiently is the great equalizer (and my secret weapon) and is also something Becker instructors don't straight up tell you. Read the material that is not highlited and don't cut corners. MCQ will only help you so much. Once you exhaust the MCQ its time to start grinding it out with the book. Test questions will come straight from the readings as I have discovered. The examiners are banking on you to skip over little paragraphs and important concepts in the book. Don't let them beat you. Read, Read and then read some more.

Does anyone else have trouble with reading a situation on internal controls and being able to answer which category of CRIME it falls under? I seem to miss these about half the time! There is a whole simulation on it and I just can't seem to grasp it. “Information and Communication, Risk Assessment, and Control Environment” seem to be the 3 I struggle with the most. Any tips on how to differentiate them?

A CPA firm client hires one of the CPA firms employee as an “internal auditor” within 6 months prior to auditing client, is independence impair? is been an internal auditor a position to influence decisions?

@aatoural, I think so. The firm would have to wait at least a year to be able to audit the client.

@aatoural thanks! yeah I took BEC and it was a heavily tested area. I would be surprised if they tested to the same extent on the AUD exam but I'm not willing to bet on it so I will just try my best to understand it! lol

I got it Rosy – independent auditor is not a position to influence the firm. Look at this question:

Plinth Industries employs several former employees of its auditor, L&W CPAs. Adams, CEO, began his career with L&W but left 10 years ago. Brooks, CFO, was employed by L&W until 18 months ago. James, internal auditor, left L&W 6 months prior to adit. Which of the following properly describes the effect of these potential conflicts of interest?
    a – L&W may audit Plinth – CORRECT
b – L&W may not audit Plinth due to employment of James within 6 months of audit engagement
c – L&W may not audit Plinth due to employment of Brooks
d – L&W may not audit Plinth because the CEO and CFO were employed by L&W

@aatoural @rosy so I went ahead and listened to becker lecture for this (A6 page 75) they give you a little more clue on what exactly they mean..Gearty says “officer” of the company and “high level position” so basically if you are a CEO, CFO, COO, or anything that could be labeled an officer you are required to follow the 1 year cool off period rules.

Is it possible to stalk this website's comments more than I do with FB?
    I'm addicted to another 71.com
No one else outside of taking this exam understands the struggle.
I feel like that Garth Brooks song .. Friends in low places..
Rematch with Audit on Oct 3rd.. let's do this.

REG- 69- Felt discouraged.. took a break.
AUD- 69, 74- The worst feeling ever. Far more painful than a break up.

@cpa_ready haha, I have this audit study group followed and I always leave my gmail up so the minute a message is posted here I see it immediately..so to answer your question yes I do think it's possible! I deleted FB off my phone since I find myself looking at dumb videos all day instead of studying!

Good luck on your retake. T-minus 1 week for me..I'll be sitting on the 31st.
