I was wondering how do I position amongst peers and what to look for in the future.

Maybe everyone could post the Bonus % they get and the # of years of experience they have in the field or company ?

I know that there is a different salary topic out there, Let dedicate this to Bonus, or both whatever you are comfortable with.

Me: 2 years of experience, 60k & 6% Bonus – Internal Audit Function 2 weeks of vacation

    Thanks for sharing 🙂

Seeing a whole lot of people on here like “2 years public, jumped ship to industry and make 10000000000000 dollars.”

    Consider me jelly.

I'm at just shy of 1 year at 42k with 7 days PTO but I do have a boss that'll let me take off and just have it not count. I.e. I took off a week for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and I did an hour of work in the morning and it didn't count towards my PTO. I'm considering a move though. I'm commuting 75 miles each way and it's killer. Great for listening to Jeff's lectures, but getting miserable.

Base $122k, bonus target is 20% and is based on soft targets that the company always exceeds and I have never gotten below 25%, 21 vacation days, 7 sick days, health insurance is pretty good with a PPO that is about $30 per pay check, company also provides a stipend for your cell phone of about $30/month. Hours are ok, one week a month we are really busy putting in about 50 hours, the rest of the month is pretty much straight 9-5. I got this job before I got my CPA so you don't need a CPA to get a decent salary and bonus.

Baltimore area, entry level manager, 8 years work experience.

Though I did get a promotion this year, before I was at around $110k/same bonus level in an analyst position at the same company that required more hours (typically 50 hour weeks twice a month, one 45 hour week a month, and the last week of each month being a 40 hour work week).

10 months experience but I have a masters degree and passed the exams.

    Very small firm.

    ~$55k with health ins.

    10 vacation days.

    5%? 401k matching

My boss is awesome so personal time is wicked flexible.

Also, sometimes we all leave early on Fridays during the summer.

I think I get a tax season bonus but I'm not sure about the % or when – any thoughts on when that would happen?

this is based on last year..

19 year experience, publicly traded company, 78k base, 10-40% bonus based on a combination of annual performance review and hitting company growth and EBITDA targets. Last year mine was closer to the high end 🙂

10 days vacation plus 1 floating holiday, unlimited sick time, as long as it's reasonable.

    Company pays for passed exams.

    5% match on 401k

I live in OK, so cost of living is very low. I make 55k +3k annual bonus with 4 years in this position at a huge bank and about 5 years as a bookkeeper/staff accountant for a small law firm. Does that mean I have 4 years of exp or 9? The bookkeeping stuff was a bunch of bank recs and journal entries.

The thing that's getting my goat about my current employer is $200 for Medical Insurance for my family per two-week pay period. Is that normal? nearly 5k annually for insurance? and don't even get me started that it barely covers anything.

14 years experience, MBA, CFE (since 2014), not yet a CPA

    $47K

$0 Bonus (Work for State), NO Overtime or Comp Time

    17 Vacation Days

    16 Holidays

    12 Sick Days

Work 37.5 hours per week (Leave early on Fridays)

    Health Insurance Premiums paid 100%

State Retirement (State contributes 15.21% this year, I am required to contribute 6%)

$500 grant per college semester for professional development (includes CPA exam fees)

    Free gym membership

Pay is not great but benefits are! I did not receive a raise for becoming a CFE, but should receive one when I become a CPA!

Okay, I'll add mine because others have done the same.

Experience: 2.5 years public, 1 year in revenue, 4.5 years in financial reporting. Recently transitioned to FP&A.

    Level: Senior Analyst

    Base: $100K

ESPP – Currently enjoying about ~8K gain per year. (used to be a lot higher, but re-enrolled at a higher purchase price)

RSU – At today's stock price, my annual stock comp is ~45K.

15% annual bonus – measured on company and personal performance. Received full pay-out for the last 3 years.

Fringe benefits: Company paid for my: CPA materials, exam fees (only if I pass all 4), phone, gym membership, breakfast, lunch, dinner, plus any future CPE course credits. They also have an electric charging station.. but I'll probably end up with a bimmer than a Leaf haha.

PTO – I think about 25 days or so. I take a Friday off here and there, don't book PTO for it. It's pretty flexible here.

Work life balance – Slammed during q-end, really chill during non-quarter ends.
