I was wondering how do I position amongst peers and what to look for in the future.

Maybe everyone could post the Bonus % they get and the # of years of experience they have in the field or company ?

I know that there is a different salary topic out there, Let dedicate this to Bonus, or both whatever you are comfortable with.

Me: 2 years of experience, 60k & 6% Bonus – Internal Audit Function 2 weeks of vacation

    teeteenounouche – We know 🙂

isauditforme – You are right about the area we live in does impact how much we earn. I live in Silicon Valley so I would be higher than who live in areas with lower living costs.

To buy a house here is crazy!!! we got ours and we had to bid 100K more than the asking price and luckily we got it. Total offers were 12! so imagine the competition… Insane.

2 years experience, large, global insurance consultant/management firm – $71k as of recent (i do client management so accounting just a portion of my position). bonus depends on pool allocated to our office by the regional “man”- essentially determined on new business generated by our firm. then within bonuses allocated are determined by OT since we aren't compensated for such nor do we get time in lieu unless you request to work a full weekend day/holiday ahead of schedule. bonus pool is still pretty pathetic but benefits are excellent. our firm pays crap compared to others of the same nature, same location but the work environment makes up for it doubly i think.

20 days vacay, 10 days sick leave, 11 public holidays. 3 days study leave per exam not taken more than twice and they reimburse for expenses once passed. this sounds awesome but i wouldn't know as i use most of my vacay studying! this days are typical here.

i'm in the cayman islands, by the way…cost of living – crazy. no taxes on income (below a certain amount if you're US citizen, roughly $96k – upwards you pay income taxes to the US govt but you should know that if you've studied for REG :)) but there's duty on everything brought in so a trip to the grocery store can generally cost you an arm and a leg. visit CML or Stepping Stones recruitment sites if you're looking for a job. I am from the Cayman Islands but the majority of the professional workforce is not and there are a ton of opportunities here. if you're genuinely intrigued, let me know – i get referral bonuses 🙂

my employer pays both his and my share of healthcare costs. it's a small business and the plans are so damn expensive. notices of plan increases of 20% YoY are the norm. My copay is beastly at fifty dollars.
