I am heartbroken as I just found out I got a 74 on REG, my last exam. I was trending 86% and averaging 80% on NINJA, did over 4000 of those, read the Becker book and did all of the Becker MCQs and SIMS multiple times. I studied so much for this test. I feel sick to my stomach and have never felt like quitting so much in my life. Like I am so done with this process its driving me nuts. I started studying 15 months ago, I don’t know how much I have left in me. This is really one of lowest points I have felt in my life.

We will get through this! Don't be discouraged.. I thought I would be done this round, but I guess I have another month to go.. Whats one more month out of the three years I have been working on this! Going to get working on MCQ tonight. Don't dwell on the fail, focus on the fact that you WILL get it next time! The persistence will pay off! or at least I keep telling myself that! 🙂

CPA2BEE, I was in the same position in February. I got a 74 on FAR. It was terrible and I wanted to give up too. Just keep moving forward. You're very close and are clearly very capable of passing these exams. You'll get it next time!

    BEC-75!
    AUD-64, 84!
    REG-72,77!
    FAR- 74, 82!

I felt the same way in a Q1 release. 74 on FAR and one point from being done.

I looked at it at the 1 am EST release time and tossed/turned all night. I felt crushed plus my mind was racing thinking about what I could have done and what this will mean.

Today I have to get done with a major project at work so I did not even look at my score this time around. I will wait until the work day is over. I started back in Oct of 2014 and this test has wrecked my social life. All I do is study and go to work.

I'll tell you what others told me when I got my 74. You obviously have a strong understanding of the material. No one who takes these tests knows everything so it comes to the luck of the draw with what kind of test you get. You have success when your test matches the areas you are strongest in.

I am sure you will pass this part at some point. The only way to not pass the test is to give up so don't do that.

Don't feel bad, I got a 74 on AUD. I got around a 75 on both my Becker finals the few days leading up to the exam, so I thought I'd get the 5-10 point bump everyone gets from Becker to Actual. Apparently not.

Meanwhile my co-worker got low 60s on her Becker finals the day before she took AUD, and somehow managed to pull out an 84.

I'm convinced they just hand out random numbers.

Thank you guys so much. This is so crushing but you all inspire me! There are countless people out there who has suffered far worse than me with these exams and still came out on top. I think its just the situation that is crushing me: one exam left, one point away. I really cannot put the disappointment and hurt into words. Having said that, the only thing I can do to get over it is channel all of that into a passing a score next time. I have bounced back before and will do it again, thank you all.

On the bright side you still have 3 parts done, so you know well you can pass a test.

AUD was my first, so I feel like I'm back to square one with nothing to show for any of my work.

I guess the best thing to keep in mind is pass rates on individual sections are <50%, so the majority of people are failing these tests and just not talking about it.

Hey guys I know these 73 and 74 are maddening. Keep plugging you're going to get there. Don't be discouraged that's what they want. Take a min to deal with your emotions. Then get back in the driver seat and get ready to ride to HWY 75 again!!!

I am also another victim to the curse of the 74! For FAR. It sucks to see everyone get this score, even though we studied our you know whats off! It's not like we were slacking. And we were SO close. Keep going guys! It's going to feel so good when you are finished.

@CPA2BEE I feel exactly the same way you do. I just found out that I also failed with a 74 and REG is also my last exam. I'm feeling super sad because I have been happy these past three weeks enjoying the time off and spending more time with my family, especially my 3 year old little boy. Anyway, I am going to take the day to figure out what I need to do to get back on that study train. Sending you positive thoughts for a pass next quarter. 🙂

74 is heart-breaking, but not necessarily the worst. 😉 Refer to my other post here >>>

It stinks, but when you finally do pass it, you feel like you can dunk a basketball–which is a top 5 feeling definitely. So keep working and fighting on. You can do it
