AnonymousInactiveJust started my new job and after looking around at what everyone was wearing, I feel I need to step up my business casual attire! Does anyone recommend any good places to get work clothes that won’t break the bank?

jloughMember@ Mints– I want a pair of Loubs when I pass too! My husband said he would buy me a pair but he keeps calling them “Lou Boutins”… ha! He also was getting Louis Vuitton and Louboutin confused for a while– hey, at least he tries to keep up!

neika822ParticipantI like to wear skirts or dresses most of the time. I wear flats with my pencil skirt, though. My pants are longer, so I have to wear a small heel with those.
I need new nylons. It's way past the time (in New England) to get away with bare legs and skirts/dresses. So I've been wearing pants most of the time since I only have patterned black tights.
I love me some handbags :). I don't think about it too much for work, though, since I just put it away once I'm at work. Going out, though, I switch it up! I have a leopard print clutch that I love to wear.
I'd love some Louboutins, but I'm not a huge HIGH heel fan. I'll go 3 inches at most. I've just started to wear heels out dancing, so I'm training myself to go higher. Most of my friends are shorter than me, so when I wear heels, I feel awkwardly tall (and I'm not overly tall). I just bought some REALLY hot Nine West booties (not for work). Can't wait to wear them out 🙂

AnonymousInactiveI don't think anyone has mentioned Dress Barn yet. It's my go to place when I actually have more than $20 to spend – they have everything.

littlenumberrobotMemberLoft Outlet near my city had 50% off of everything yesterday and an additional $15 off if you spend over $75. Well I spent alot and asked the sales lady if I can get $30 off since I spent over $75 X 2! She let me!! She just rang up the purchases in two separate transaction. Three pairs of pants, three sweaters, two shirts and one belt… $179 😀 I am set for winter!

AnonymousInactiveI personally love Ross Dress for Less (similar to TJ Maxx), Uptown Cheapskate, SOMETIME's Plato's Closet, and a site/app called Poshmark.
And sometimes you can find sale/clearance deals at JC Penny, Dillard's, or Belk.

AnonymousInactiveI love going to the outlets for the holiday sales. My favorites are Banana Republic, Loft, and Nine West for great work clothes. Also, I found a dry cleaner that charges $2.75 for any article of clothing. Even a mediocre top or pants look much nicer starched.
Charming Charlie is awesome for jewelry to dress up simple pieces. I agree that accessories make the outfit.
