Congratulations ChefBlake! And thanks for all the kind words guys. All the nitpicky questions got to me today. The overall concept stuff was really fine. I think everything we talked about in this thread helped a lot. I don't really remember any of the nitpicky stuff being in Becker and it's not in the Ninja notes, either. Maybe it is in Wiley? I didn't end up having time to do any Wiley mc questions. I'm really hoping they score those lightly and give more weight to the hard stuff.

So behind on studying! I finished most of the homework for Chapter 1 (individual) and starting notes for Chapter 2. I wanted to be on Chapter 4 this week I believe… ugh! Moving and starting a new job next Tuesday (first one in 4 years, yikes).

My friend is taking AUD today and will be taking REG around the time I am, so once we start studying together again, I think I'll catch up. Trying to finish my Chapter 2 notes today and finish all the homework by Friday night so I can PARTAY all weekend (for starting a new job!!)

Last minute question–take the exam tomorrow and I've been using older materials to study with…is the gift tax exception now 14,000 instead of 13,000? Is 14k going to be used on the exam…or 13k?!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

@seattle – answer to your post to me in the score release thread, I know posts get lost over there sometimes… Sorry Jeff

honestly it was my fault. One of my SIMs was a ____ I should have known it 1000%. I just didn't. I would say I only knew it 50%. The fact that I screwed that up really makes me mad, I think if I knew that SIM I would have passed. This is the first exam I gave everything I had to and didn't pass so yea it's slightly disappointing but I think luckily I have perspective if this is the worst thing that happens to me this year I'm very lucky.

To answer your question I use Gleim, Wiley book and test bank and NINJA notes. I will add NINJA audio in this time too. I will probably not buy any other additional material but that's not set in stone yet so feel free to make any suggestions :).

Kick this exams a$$ for me in a few days! This goes for all of you!

Hey everyone,

I am using Becker with Wiley as a supplement. The last few days I have been going over some Wiley questions. There is a section labeled “property.” This is different than the other section labeled “transactions in property.” Of course, we are all very familiar with the transactions in property section, but I have never seen any of the information that is being asked in the property section. There is nothing in Becker about it. Is this just a tiny section that is rarely tested, or do I need to spend a couple of hours going through these 54 questions and taking notes on them?

The property section relates to law vs. transactions in property which is the tax side.

I'm not focusing too much energy on it. I'll work the questions and read all of the explanations, and take limited notes.

Enough to be familiar, but I'm not concerned with mastering that portion.

I'd go over them and get any tidbit you can from them. Unfortunately, any of that is fair game.

@Kip – I would recommend going through them. I was confused at first when I saw them but one is the tax side of it and one is the business law side of it. Take the time and work through them!
