big KMemberHi Everyone,
I had a quick question I was hoping you guys could help me on. I took REG earlier today and am not feeling too confident about it. While I wait for my grade I was going to start studying FAR, but am concerned that if I have to retake REG studying FAR at this time may confuse things in my head. My only other option would be to study AUD as I have already passed BEC.
As for my opinion on the REG exam – I thought it was completely unfair. There wasn't a single question (MPC or SIMS) on two of the Becker chapters and I would say 70% of the questions focused three of the chapters.

LSNYCMemberBHDave – Good luck with studying for FAR! Keep us posted on your grade!
big k – I have never taken an exam that was ‘fair' they all suck, you did your best and now all you can do is wait. Do get your self so down, you never know with these exams hopefully in a few weeks you will have a nice 75!
You can started FAR or AUD now but you should decide now what your game plan will be if for some reason you do not get a pass on REG. Will you stick with the section you are taking or go back to REG.
Ok i need to get in 2-3 hours NOW!
A - 61, 91!!
B - 78!
F - 76!!!
R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!Finally done!
This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

TAJCPAParticipantHi all,
Any motivators out there ? This weekend should be my time to hit these materials for at least 8 hrs and today has been a really challenging day for me. I can't see to get R3 and I am soo tired. I can't seem to take naps because I feel guilty that I am not studying.

AnonymousInactiveI got so much done yesterday. My family is being very supportive. Hubby bought me like 10 – 5 hour energy (which help tremendously) and the kids are playing at friends' houses this weekend. It's making a huge difference.
I got a 90% on the 90 problems on the practice test, but noticed a lot of them were partnership problems and I'm good with those. It was a confidence builder to see a 90%, but I'm going to have to go back and work on property exchanges and AMT.
I need to get through chapter 7 and would love to at least start 8 today. I started 7 last night and previewed chapter 8. I melted a bit when I saw how many problems there were. Wow, that's a lot!
Ok, back to it! Go team!

wendywhiteMemberGood morning Regulators.
Today's study plan is to review wiley module 35 – the beast – individual taxation. I think I can do all… 219 MCQ & 16 sims in one day… (maybe)….
To get me through the day… my plan of attack is lots of gum. a 5 hr energy smoothie around 10:30. a 20 min nap around 3, and lots of short spurts of reading then testing – – reading – then testing…
I think I can I think I can…
FAR 11/2012: 80
AUD 2/19/2013: 90
REG 5/14/2013: 76
BEC 11/2013: 85
Ethics: 100

AnonymousInactiveWhat do you start to look at when you've pretty much memorized the answers to the “progress review” questions?

AnonymousInactiveAlright, I was pretty productive today.
I reworked ALL the multiple choice for R5, R6 and R7 (Did R1-4 the last two days). I've been marking the ones I get wrong on this second time around. Tomorrow I will redo R8, and then I'll start going through all the marked questions.
Can't wait to be done with this. Almost there.

LSNYCMember@classalle – I took Wendy's advice and am checking out CPAreviewforfree.com. I have done the Wiley questions 3-4 times EACH and I needed some new ones!
@audiox – Almost there!! You will be done in just over TWO WEEKS!
@dsteele139 – Good Luck you can do this, will be thinking of you tomorrow!
@Chen77 – You can, but make sure to check for updates, new tax amounts ect. If you look up all the updates you should be good no major changes.
Trying to get sometime in tonight maybe 2 more hours…Happy Studying all!

AnonymousInactiveThis past weekend was probably the most productive I've had since I started studying for the CPA Exam last August. I'm feeling positive about my knowledge and that I know what I don't know so I can go back and review.
On to chapter 8 today. I watched an hour of video this morning and will finish it later today.
My work is talking a business trip next week. I know it's not appropriate to request to stay back, but I need to stay back and study. My test is scheduled three weeks from Wednesday and studying while I'm out of town is next to impossible with continual company of and late evening dinners with colleagues.
I'm having chest pain every day now. So, the stress is really getting to me. Hopefully I can just work through it and this whole thing will be over soon. I will just keep reminding myself to breathe. Air is good, right?

FutureCPA2013MemberI'm wondering if I'm crazy and would like some feedback. I just took FAR last Monday (4/22) and started studying REG the same day. Is it possible to be ready and take REG by 5/15?
If I can then I will have both scores on the same day. My time is a bit stretched this week and next with finals and graduation, but I want to do this!
I'm not very confident about FAR, but no matter what, I'll be working on BEC after REG and hope to take it in July. If anything goes wrong with FAR, I'll do it again after all that. It was a BEAST!
(Oh yeah, should probably mention that I did a Becker progress test with 100 questions and scores a 60%.)
AUD: 84!
FAR: 82!
REG: 73 🙁
BEC: Q3 2013
Becker, note taking, and prayer! -
