This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

wendywhiteMemberBHDave10 – not sure if it is important – I haven't sat for REG yet – but Wiley covers a topic called alimony recapture and I did not run across it in Becker at all. It's not something you can just guess at – it is a bit weird, not hard – just weird – if you search on YouTube there's a couple decent videos on alimony recapture –
LSNYC – she posted in the exam experience thread – I think it's probably word for word what 90% of everyone posts – – couldn't tell if she passed or not – but she's moving on to far.

wendywhiteMemberMomentous occasion today.
Moving from reading/studying/copious note taking to the non-stop question mode that will be my life from now until May 14th.
Yay for practice tests – my hand was cramping.

AnonymousInactiveAside from the gift tax exclusion going from $13,000 (2012) to $14,000 (2013) are there any other updates for REG during 2013? Sitting May 2 for the 4th (fourth) time….

MCLKTParticipantHi REG fam!!!!
I pushed my test date back to the 29th.
Sorry, I haven't been as active as normal. The first few weeks of each quarter are always extremely demanding of my time, due to work obligations. Throw in my daughter's bday, my bday, and the Boston bombing. I”m not in Boston, but my best friend is, and I was just glued to the tv worried about her traveling and her husband's job. It's was just a scary week to have loved one's in Boston.
Congrats to those that have sat for REG.
And good luck to you all getting ready in the next few weeks.
LSNYC, did you reschedule???

sbarkerACPAParticipant@Lsync It went ok in my opinion. I only seen about 3WTF and one of them was a SIM. IMO my testlets didn't get progressively harder so I don't know if that is a good thing or bad thing. I really can't gauge how well I did.
Thanks for asking ..

kip_snoodlesMemberAt the beginning of the R4 Ethics lecture, Tim says that we should only expect a couple of questions from this section. However, at the beginning of the book, it says this part of the exam makes up 15%-19%. Am I misunderstanding him? I guess I'm just trying to figure out if I need to spend a whole day slowly taking notes on every bit of these 40-50 pages, or if just reading through once and doing the questions and taking notes on the key points will be enough for this section.
Thanks!

LSNYCMemberMCKLT – so happy you're back I missed you! I didn't reschedule, I ended up keeping my date I have tomorrow off, and a full day of studying Saturday. Last night the stuff started clicking a bit, so that's good. I hear you on the Boston/loved ones thing. I went to college there and have lots of friends there it was really scary. Plus the family of a friend of mine live in watertown 2 blocks from where the guy was caught!
Sbarker – that doesn't mean much don't let it get to you. It could mean you were just really well prepared. Keep us posted on your grade!
Happy studying all!
