@LSNYC, both REG and BEC had been scheduled a while ago. I better adjust my sig to remove this confusion.

    REG is on May 30th.

I just got back from my REG exam…. I think I did pretty good on the MC teslets, especially when I got to teslet No. 3, I answered many questions that I wasn't expecting to see on the exam. I hope its a clue that I did pretty well..

Now the SIMS..Are you kidding me?!!!!!! I couldn't believe the type of questions they asked.. I really hope that I passed the exam… the SIMS really screwed my confidence 🙁

    Good luck all..

    @N.Alex,

    Sounds like sims were brutal.

Which review did you use and was this your first time REG or repeat and was it your first exam ever or not? Just curious.

Do guaranteed payments to partners reduce the partner's basis?

@Jdm101518 : Guaranteed payments are allowable tax deduction to the partnership and a taxable ordinary income to the individual partner receiving the payments. Thus Guaranteed payments do not affect partner basis.

    Hola Regulators. Weird week.

Burned out or lost my study mojo I think…

Took 3 nights off this week – spent time with the fam.

    Did not study during lunch.

Hit snooze 4 days – and did not study before work…

I'm on my last chapter of reading/note taking for reg – and I have just less than 1 month til test day (14th) – and I have only been reading/note taking – – have NOT been doing MCQ or Sims yet.. I start that after I finish this chapter….

I haven't reached the point that it all comes together & I can quote annoying stuff off the top of my head yet.

I'm just feeling bogged & overwhelmed and it just sucks right now. I'm actually laughing at my stupidity after I finished auditing in Feb I felt really great – top of the world – and I actually said – – maybe I could do BEC & REG at the same time &knock them out – – ha!! HA!!!

I made the assumption that Reg & BEC were easy due to their being only 3 hrs…

    Ok

    I'm off to study.

Morning! Just under 2 weeks till exam day, and i have realized i don't think I have enough hours to study and I am freaking out! It ended up causing a fight between my husband and I. This is just another reason why I can not wait till I am done with this exam forever! I am thinking of trying to move my exam, if i can get a date the last week in May, HOWEVER I would have minimal study time the first 3 weekends in May due to other obligations, thoughts?

This weekend is a big review weekend for me, Corp tax and Individual tax, i would really like to get a good grasp on them!

Jokami – I think the 2011/2012 are ok but not great since some of the phase out amounts and tax numbers change. If there is an update available they may be ok. 2012 better then 2011.

Happy studying regulators (Wendy I like this!)

My hubby has been good – he's the one picking up all my slack. I scheduled 2 vacation days to study between now & test day to get more time in. It will all come together.

Back at it in between the kids soccer games today.
