MCLKTParticipantBalancing is so difficult.
I'm a bridesmaid in one of my friend's weddings in June… and I tried on the dress last night. It won't zip. WTF. I hate the CPA exam, lol.
At one point I was exercising on my breaks, but I guess the Red Bull, Taco Bell, Little Debbie triple threat caught up to me.
So… now when I get home, I work out, make dinner, then study.
It's not a bad thing really. 🙂
I started rewriting Ninja last night. I love Ninja Notes.
I read through the posts quickly, you all are so motivating!!!
Good luck to those of you getting ready to test and Future, my fingers will be crossed on score release day for you and the rest of our April/May REG family.

smp73MemberMCLKT – When I get home I workout (gym/dog walk something active) then make dinner then study. I have found I get much more studying done when I do that since it gives my brain a good break between work and studying. Hope it works well for you too! 🙂
I have determined the key for me to this exam is to RTFQ! I was doing practice questions last night and missing crazy easy one just because I did not RTFQ. I actually plan on writing that down on my noteboard come test day!
We can do this! 🙂

LSNYCMemberMorning! At work already but got what I need to get done by 8 done so that's great! Will be a busy day for me and probably not much time to study tonight.
I also just added the gym back in to my life, I try to go 2-3 times a week just to keep myself motivated, it's cut in to study time but its also improved my mood and how I feel overall so I think it was necessary.
One section left till I finish my first round then it's all review for about 3 weeks…. I CAN DO THIS!
A - 61, 91!!
B - 78!
F - 76!!!
R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!Finally done!
This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

LSNYCMemberSMP73 – I should elaborate when I say ‘gym' I mean classes, currently I am doing Barre and Pilates….. So I can't listen to the audio but if I was running or something I would listen :/

MelParticipanti had a good gym & study schedule going back in Januray then i got the flu and then i hurt my back and then i hurt my back again so i haven't been able to get back on track. But i do believe that exercise is an important addition to your study time, it improves yoru mood.
I'm trying to sneak in some study time at work today and get in 2 hours tonight. Will be listening to the audio at work all day for the next 3 days and in the car when i can, though my 3 year old yells at me when i don't play the radio. I'm also going to read the notes one more time while i'm commuting the next three days. I'm in review/kick this exams but mode!

myyear2013MemberAfter my 4th attempt at AUD (68, 74, 74, ? – that last 74 REALLY STUNG!) on Monday and a spa day yesterday, I am ready to jump in to REG… hoping and PRAYING it will be my last exam ever – I am getting a bit too familiar with the people at my testing center! 🙂 I have been a long-time lurker of the forum, but I think I need to use it more to connect with all of you that know exactly what I am going through. My husband and family are extremely supportive, but at the end of the day they have not been in these shoes. Hoping this forum will be part of my key to success! Happy Studying this week! 🙂

CPA_RunnerMemberCan anybody verify that REG only counts 5 sims into the score? For some reason I thought it was 6, but I read on AICPA's site that it is actually only 5. That would be huge if they tossed one of the sims I was completely lost on…!!!
Also…this is probably a stupid question but what does “OT” mean? I have seen it attached to a few topics on here. Is it “off topic”???
Hope everybody's day is going well!

smp73Member@sbarker: page 16 they are not subject to the 2% of AGI limitation like the ones right before it on page 15.
@Future: I believe one of the sims is “pre-test” so that would not count.
Okay guys…I am exhausted. I am having a really hard time opening my notes let alone studying. I know I need to study the test is so soon but I really really want to sleep. Between this morning and my lunch break I have done about 100MC questions today…break tonight?

wendywhiteMemberI use both the REG book from Wiley & Becker. I rely on Becker but I am going through both books because Wiley has a bit more detail – things like the alimony recapture – in case anyone was wondering where we were finding it.

Waiting on the packet....April 11, 2013 at 9:10 am #415239
SeattleAccountantMemberToday I got a surprise dose of motivation.
During a friendly, long-time-no-see conversation, a relative have told me straight to my face that my CPA studying is a waste of time, graduate degree also not much of the benefit, that no one needs overqualified people, and on and on!!!!
So much for support and positivity, although I did not expected any warm fuzzy feelings from that side of the family. I want to work harder and more effectively and pass the remaining two sections and get licensed asap as never before. After that conversation, being so frustrated I could not study much and kept poking around the internet and ended up downloading final cpa license application!
God please help me to pass this exam, get licensed, and no longer encounter this type of the behavior toward me!

CPA license pending 🙂April 12, 2013 at 12:08 am #415240
smp73MemberI just had an experience that fell in to the “God please help me to pass this exam, get licensed, and no longer encounter this type of the behavior toward me!” that Seattle posted about.
Had a super stressful day at work, super nervous about the exam and was just generally feeling “negative”. Even cried on my drive home from work…so I decided to hit the gym, burn off some (all) of the negative energy and refocus myself. My leg is finally feeling better so I was able to better my fastest mile by a solid 5 seconds. I was super excited, put me in a great mood so I posted to Facebook. Not 30 seconds later, 30 seconds people…I get a text from a “friend” telling me that if I had time to go to the gym and post to facebook I should be able to text and that I shouldn't have to cut people out to study (aka the hermit lifestyle). Seriously…I am doing what I need to do, to stay sane, study and hopefully pass this thing and boy if I want to go to they gym I will!
On a good note…the gym totally refocused me, burned off serious negative energy and I feel much better about beating REG. Lets Do This!
