Did I say I was going to plow through chapter three last weekend? Well, just now getting through the sims and I have a LOT to memorize. Wow!

I'm going to do a quiz tomorrow and then take notes over the weekend. I'd hoped to be well in to chapter four by now, but there is no way I can move on without some review. This is a scary test.

I'm traveling next week on business and will make another trip in a month, before my exam. This really puts a kink in my study plans. Looks like studying on planes, in airports, in cars, and late nights in hotel rooms it is!

Thanks, Jeff. I checked those out and it makes sense. I am using Becker, because that is what my firm provided, but I have friends who are looking for CPA study materials at a lower cost… and I will definitely be recommending Ninja to them!

Me and REG are very familiar. We are practicely best friends now. I retook it yesterday for the 4th time. I probably got stronger on MCQs again (Medium, Difficult, Difficult). I feel confident about all my SIMS except the research question; I couldn't find it; I probably spent 30 minutes alone looking for this research question. I've never not been able to find a research question; crazy. Anyway, has anyone ever known they missed the research question and still passed?

Just took the two becker practice exams over the past couple days. The first one I scored similarly on all three testlets and averaged about 81%. The second one I did great on the first two testlets (90+) and then sixty freaking two on the third. Bleh.

Sims are hit or miss. Hopefully they're more hit than miss tomorrow.

@gobias- I also didn't do as well on the Becker final exams as I did on the homework, etc. I noticed that for Aud too and I did well on that exam despite my lackluster performance on the final exams the day prior. I think they deliberately leave all the difficult questions for the final exams!

@smp Your words of encouragement are appreciated. I did that for Audit… I barely studied at all the day before and I thought that worked rather well. I just did some progress tests and am going to look over my notes and call it good. If I don't know it now, I probably won't learn it tonight!

I can now admit a fear of failure has left me paralyzed the past couple weeks. I got into the mind frame, I have to fail a test before I can pass a test (this has been my pattern). But I haven't attempted REG and I resigned to the idea I will fail it this time no matter what, and when I retake in Aug. I will pass.

But last night I got mad! (sure sign for success)

I don't want to take this exam twice! I want to pass it the first time.

Power weekend time to get to B-Law and get through this material.

@MCKLT: Sure…u will pass REG on ur first shot…Me too tryng hard to pass it on my first attempt….to pass FAR and AUD I suffered failure and which I don't want for REG….I wanna pass it on my first attempt…Just keep sayng I will pass REG , I will pass REG… Happy studyng:-)
