Starting REG tomorrow with Becker. Will have about 5 weeks to finish the lectures and review before taking the exam on April 10th.
Best of luck to everyone!
March 2, 2013 at 1:00 pm #414837AnonymousInactiveREG is up next for me on 04/24. I'm using Becker and the NINJA notes as I have for the past two sections.
I'm through R1 and R2 so far with R3 up this weekend. I hope to get through a section every 5 days to leave around 3 weeks for final review.
I don't have any tax experience and business law isn't my strong point either so I'm a bit worried about this one. There seems to be so many little exceptions and one offs and I've seen a few people mention that the actual test questions are much harder than Becker which would be tragic as I'm struggling with the Becker questions so far.
I'm going to try not to got bogged down in the weeds though and hope for the best.
Good luck to all!
March 2, 2013 at 1:31 pm #414838JMemberREG is up next for me as well. I haven't decided if I'm going to try to fit REG and AUD both in the first wave of the April/May testing window or what. Regardless, REG will definitely be before the first wave closes. I have a bit of practical tax experience but I'm not looking forward to the business law parts!
March 2, 2013 at 3:18 pm #414839AnonymousInactiveI work stirctly in audit for my firm, do you guys there is that big of a disadvantage of not working on tax when taking the reg exam?
March 2, 2013 at 6:19 pm #414840AnonymousInactiveReg in May for me…. Last one!!
Really worried about the 3 hour time limit. I do taxes so this one should at least be somewhat familiar to me, but time was my problem with FAR so I wonder how I will do it with the time on REG.
March 2, 2013 at 8:07 pm #414841wendywhiteMemberReg is next for me –
I will need to reschedule my test date though – apparently I had some real reason at the time for scheduling it on May 20 – my daughter's bday -but now I can't remember why – and it doesn't make sense to make me a crazy person right before and on her bday – I'll probably back it up earlier – maybe near end of april.
FAR 11/2012: 80
AUD 2/19/2013: 90
REG 5/14/2013: 76
BEC 11/2013: 85
Ethics: 100
Waiting on the packet....March 2, 2013 at 9:48 pm #414842wendywhiteMemberQuestion:
What tax year is testable in Q2 testing window for REG? I am using used materials and am wanting to be sure that any significant changes are edited in my materials – I know there is a standard 6 month window – – but that is from when it goes into effect – so – – 2011 tax year I'm guessing?
FAR 11/2012: 80
AUD 2/19/2013: 90
REG 5/14/2013: 76
BEC 11/2013: 85

BEC- 81 (Feb)
REG- 89 (May)March 3, 2013 at 1:22 am #414844lauryateMemberNot sure if the date will stick, but I've scheduled REG during the first half of May. I'm supposed to go to Puerto Rico for two weeks, and I'll have time to take it afterwards if necessary, but I REALLY don't want to end up doing that.
Not studying in PR will be my study motivation
AUD - 85
BEC - 88

REG - 5/10/2013March 3, 2013 at 3:49 am #414845MCLKTParticipantDoes anyone think I can get by with Wiley text/test bank, Ninja notes/audio, and Yaeger audio only?
No lecture video?

*NINJA 10 Pt. COMBO & Yaeger*March 4, 2013 at 3:20 am #414846swishbaby22MemberMerMer03 I failed AUD(69:( in January too but I moved on to REG and going to re-take AUD before the window closes in May. I started studying REG a week ago so hopefully will be ready by mid to the end of April. Then back to AUD. Good luck to everyone. I'm excited to follow this thread!
March 4, 2013 at 11:12 am #414847LSNYCMemberStarted reading NINJA notes yesterday. A little ahead of schedule but I was feeling motivated.
Hope everyone has a great week
A - 61, 91!!
B - 78!
F - 76!!!
R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!Finally done!
This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!
March 4, 2013 at 3:30 pm #414848MCLKTParticipantAlright REGULATORS it's study time!!! I'm going to throw myself into REG to really make time fly this week.
I have Yaeger 2011 and the 2012 updates. There were not updates issued for 2013 from Yaeger, but I got the Wiley 2013 book to add to my collection. Plus Wiley online test bank… AND of course the Ninja notes/audio.
I think I'm all set!
Also, as I study for REG I'm switching it up a bit. Forcing myself to exercise in the morning (because there is no way I will get up early to study) and I'm cutting back on soda. Of course I'll have my regular coffee and probably an occasional Red Bull. But I have got to lose my AUD/FAR 15 🙂
