I am hoping for a AICPA & NASBA double release today…not likely but I can still hope!

The wait for REG is getting absurd.

There better be a big curve to pass as many candidates as they can after this rediculously long wait.

My guess is that they had a large number of candidates who did awful on those ridiculous sims and they are trying to figure out how to grade the exam without having a 10% pass rate

Haha estegomz. I like your theory on this wait for REG. I have actually been thinking the same thing myself for the past three or four days. It does seem odd that around 90 percent of people who took REG this quarter thought the sims had to have been a sick joke from the AICPA and that the scores are so late. There has got to be a connection there right? Jeff?

Isn't this also the first time they had unrelated tabs in the sims for Reg? If I am correct I personally believe this is the reason for the hold up.

I doubt that because my FAR had all unrelated tabs and I got my scores for that yesterday

Off topic a bit…I know that the mc questions increase with difficulty if you do well on the 1st testlet…do the sims reflect any specific level of difficulty based on the mc or is it purely luck of the draw?

Yea I know FAR has had unrelated tabs for a while but I'm almost positive this is the first time for Reg.

I've always had unrelated tabs….I am starting to get nervous I thought my sims were pretty easy in comparison to what everyone else is saying….but I only feel like I did OK on them….sooo hard to concentrate on studying for the next part while waiting for your score!!!!!!!!!!!!

    BEC: 79
    FAR: 85
    REG: 91 AUD: 11/21

I'm pretty sure that the sims have nothing to do with how well you do on MC… luck of the draw I think.

    FAR - 94 (8/26) REG - 99 (10/2) AUD - 96 (10/28) BEC - 91 (11/30) DONE!!!!!!!!!!

I don't believe that the farm sims are new however. Becker had one in its practice set and indicated it was an old one from a previous test. Perhaps they just keep recycling them over…I had one of the two sims that were on a somewhat unrelated topic – nothing that Becker covered at all. Needless to say I was happy for my unrelated tabs on that one…

Jeff, I know you said this happened last year as well. When should we all expect release from AICPA? NASBA? Could there be a “double release”? Do you think any of the other posts about reasoning for delays could be valid??

    Great site by the way!!

Has anyone tried to call the AICPA or NASBA to see what is going on?

rjr – i just got off the phone with NASBA. They have no idea what they are talking about.

NASBA “we dont have your score, we may have it by the end of the month”

ME “do you know whey all the other sections were released and REG was not?”

NASBA “FAR also wasnt released by AICPA, we only have BEC and AUD”

ME “there are a lot of people that have gotten there scores for FAR, i am sure it was released”

NASBA “no, it was not. We will have your scores maybe by the end of the month, if not you are in wave 2 and we will have it by end of December”

I sure am happy people of this competancy level are handling my scores…….
