    D3Deuel – I don't think the exam requires your memorize any particular tax rates for a certain year. I am pretty sure in all cases they will tell you the applicable tax rate that you would need to apply to complete any MC or simulation.

    Just know the 179 phaseout and deduction amount for 2009 and maybe 2008 just to be safe.

    Jeff – do you know what the 179 phaseout is for 2009? In my text it says that it phases out dollar for dollar for purchases above $800,000.

    Also – is it worth knowing the AMT exemption amounts for 2009?

    Yes – the 2009 179 phaseout begins @ $800,000.

    I wouldn't memorize AMT exemption amounts…I would just know the AMT preference items. That's my opinion, though.

    I just took Reg this morning. Heed Jeff's above note and don't waste time memorizing tax rates or AMT exemption amounts. 🙂

    I just took REG on Monday. The MC questions were not that bad. However, the SIMS were very difficult. I sure hope I passed as it's my last section.

    You, guys, are going to say that i am insane, but I always left exam room 30 minutes earlier. Even on REG. And now I'm freaking out. AAAAAA!!!
