I recently got my CPA License from Illinois, but all they provide is a pretty ugly certificate you can print out, that has colours bleeding, a barcode, and an expiry date. I was hoping to get a real certificate saying that I’m a CPA, that I could frame and mount. Do you know if there is any other option? I’ve tried with ILBOA and IDFPR and both say there is nothing they can provide other than that ugly paper I can print myself.

Go to Amazon get cheap parchment paper and a decent fram for 20 bucks..mines in IOWA but need to transfer to IL..had to DL to Adobe PDF to edit it and delete black borders..also had no room for a seal which was aggravating.

I just got my certificate and it’s awful. It looks cheap and it does just say I completed the exam. So disappointing. The one my boss received 20 years ago looks so much better.

My boss has his (from 1973) down stairs.
It's pretty legit looking but that was back when things meant something in this state.

8.5×11 – looks legit.

Boss's is something like a 10.5×13.5 oddball size.

At least all 3 frames I have can match.

That's nice that you got a pretty one! Mine doesn't even have a raised seal. I literally could have printed the entire thing on cardstock myself. I'm definitely going to be looking into one of the suggestions posted here to get a nicer one.

No raised seal. Could have easily printed it myself with my own name, but that shit is a felony. No thank you lol.

I also got something like that that is half sheet size.
I have seen similar registrations in doctors offices and barbor shops/nail salons.
You need a license for just about everything in this state.

I have the license also, and it looks pretty similar to what you posted…but ours are blue. It's not even a half sheet, and just required to be on display. My boss will hang that next to the others – his and the firm's.

That AZ certificate is great! I wish other states would provide something like that. My boss' is better than mine, and has a gold seal on it. I haven't found the option yet for IL to buy something better, so I guess I'll have to suck it up and frame this thing.

Get that amazon frame I posted. You probably wont be disappointed.
And for $30 bucks… I've spent more on less.

If it isn't up to your office quality you can always copy your certificate and use the amazon frame at home.
And add your own gold seal to the one at home to jazz it up.
