Participantlmao @ whonis2002!
@ Kathyb – hang in there!! I took BEC for the 3rd time in July and just got my score last night – a 79 (first scores were 66 and 71). What study materials are you using? I switched over to Yaeger after Becker just clearly was not working for me. Keep going!! I sit for FAR 8/31
AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!

InactiveMPoni- Congrats on your BEC score!! WOOHOO!!!!
That should give you the extra push to conquer FAR on the 31st!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy for you!

InactiveKathyb16 – Sorry about that BEC score. You are close and will get it next time.
FAR sounds like you did fine with the way the testlets were….And one of the SIMS is not graded, so keep your head up. Hopefully you'll receive a passing score in a few weeks!
Now take a deep breath and regroup. Then plan your attack for your BEC retake and for AUD. You can do this!

1 of the WC is not graded. Both sims are graded unless one is pretest.

ParticipantI know this question has no answer, but how do they decide which WC to grade?
Do they grade the better answered one or do they know which one they will grade before?
FAR - 7/26/10 - 95
AUD - 8/10/10 - 88
BEC - 8/31/10 - 88
REG - 10/15/10 - 95August 20, 2010 at 7:55 pm #243155Masaman
ParticipantKathyb16 – Keep your head up! We are all in the same boat together.
FAR was my first ever test and I literally almost started to cry on my way home with how hard I thought it was. To add insult to injury my testing center charged me 12 bucks for parking on a saturday morning (it was at some big skyrise where there was literally no one there).
I resigned myself to the fact that I probably did not pass since the test seemed really hard. I was doing the self study Becker and there was just sooooo much information that my head was spinning. But going through the forums I keep reading of people who thought they did terrible (like me) and ended up passing. So now I feel like I have a glimmer of hope as I think I did well on the simulations but I know some of the M/C's were blatant guesses (I hate you government/non-profit accounting). I literally check this website and my state board website probably 3-4 times a day.
I'm just glad that I have one friend that is going through this (should I really say horrible) horrible ordeal with me and now it has been great reading up on everyone's experience. This is a great forum with some great people.

Inactivefinanceguy – oops my bad! Thanks for the correction. Why does this grading process have to be so complicated!?!
August 20, 2010 at 8:45 pm #243157MPoni123
ParticipantThank you soo much Connie!! What a relief!! How is your FAR studying coming along?! Ugh I am definitely not where I should be…but I am just so happy to have 3 done that I have a pretty relaxed attitude about FAR lol. I still have a week and a half of review…and have to finish up about 3 hours left of lecture.
AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!

ParticipantThanks Masaman and ConnieCPA!! after having a nice pity party for myself I decided that although I didn't pass at least I came kinda close…Well I have 1 week off from Becker then next Saturday starts Audit…I am going to try and let my brain rest this week and then next Saturday it is back to the grind…I really appreciate all the people out here who are supportive and encouraging!! We will make it through and beat the beast!!!

InactiveHey Guys,
I'm taking FAR on monday and freaking out about it!! What are your sugestion for my last 2 days?? I will be home studying for these last 2 days….I have gone thru the wiley MC's twice (3 times for some chapters) and used Roger for the review..This is my last test and have been plugging in for almost 3 months…..
To the Vets in the forum ( Pony, Wanabe, finance guy, connie, whonis), my hat's off to you guys who have pushed your way against your fears; and sacrificed and invested lots of hours for those three precious letters: “CPA”, your advice would be greatly considered….

ParticipantJust looking for some moral support! I have passed all sections except FAR which I took today. I studied for the better part of 2 months! I felt pretty good going in to the exam, but once I started, I felt like I struggled early, like the first 10 MC questions or so. Then I feel like I finished the section strong. 2nd set was a breeze, 3rd was definitely more difficult, but felt very good about it. 1st simulation was above average (not one tab that I was lost on)…..BUT THEN THERE WAS THE 2nd SIMULATION……2 of the tabs I was completely lost on. I skipped over them and did all the others, and then came back to them and continued to struggle, right to the very end. Ultimately I just put whatever I could think of in there. I'm so nervous right now…..terrified that I didn't pass. If I don't pass this now, my 18 month cycle ends 9/20, so I will lose my 94 in REG AND have to retake FAR!!!!!!! How can I sleep like this with a whole month waiting for my score!!!!!!
REG 94, BEC 75, AUD 84, FAR 82!!!!!!!!!

Participant@ CharlesD – thank you! 🙂 It seems like you have definitely worked a lot of multiple choice questions already…since you have two days left I would review the material you still seem to be a little shaky (if any) I am using Yaeger Homestudy as my study material and have never used Roger…but they use the same book (Wiley).
How do you feel about all the topics?! If you feel pretty good…maybe just review your notes and go through the MCQs a few more times.
GOOD LUCK!
@whitem12003 – congrats on having 3 done!! honestly….you will have to try focusing on something else for the next month. FAR is OUT OF YOUR HANDS now and there is NOTHING else you can do!! so relax for the next month!! you really never know with these exams and you don't have any control over it. It was good that you tried filling in everything on the SIMS, too (could possibly get some points)
When I took my REG exam back in November 2009…I walked outta the testing center thinking I FAILED. I remember even picking a fight on the phone with my boyfriend cuz I was sooo pissed!! lol the exam was soooo ridiculously hard I felt like I guessed on a majority of everything. Turns out – I got a 90. So just breathe and relax 🙂
AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!

ParticipantMPoni123—thanks for the kind words!! Identical situation happened to me on my REG and I ended up with a 94, don't ask me how. Unfortunately, I find myself wondering if I should continue lightly studying for a retake of both FAR and REG, so that I don't have to start from scratch.
REG 94, BEC 75, AUD 84, FAR 82!!!!!!!!!
August 21, 2010 at 3:10 am #243164MPoni123
ParticipantI wouldn't bother….you don't know for sure if you failed or not. Also – you might be surprised with how much you actually remember with both FAR and REG if you DO have to retake them. That is my personal opinion…if it would make you feel better then by all means crack open the books! Honestly, I wouldn't have the will power to do that lol. I would just see in a month what the future holds…
AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!
