I took the night off after a 9 hour study session that ended with a final exam. Section 1 MCQ 73% Section 2 76% Section 83%. I almost murdered the sims so I am feeling very confident going into my exam on Thursday. Good Luck to all!
Tomorrow I finish up some MCQ on Chapters 8 and 9 and review a bunch. I will probably end it with another final exam and some sims practice.
elena.redko thanks am so worried about this exam. Here's my challenge…I seem to be forgetting stuff that I have covered. I can do it well when am covering a particular chapter but two chapters down the line when I do the progress tests on previous chapters its all gone. Well let me keep trying hopefully I can do something on that exam day.
whonis2002 – that's everyone's problem 🙂 this exam has the most material and the material is difficult in a sense that there are so many calcs! so just keep doing and redoing questions and reading explanations.
I am waiting for my scores to come out, since I sat in wave 1, so I'll let you know if my approach worked 🙂
6 more hours with Yaeger homestudy…have to get through governmental accounting and not-for-profit. crazy that gov't is 4.5 hours long!! I can't seem to get out of my own way. I don't think the material is necessarily hard…there is just SO much of it. It will be a loong 1.5 weeks of review, which probably isn't even enough time. I will cram as much as possible into my head – I am glad that with Yaeger I actually take notes down and stuff so rereading them will help.
I just hope I can remember all the details….blaah
AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!
@MPoni123, I am in about the same boat.. I have about 8 hrs left of video and then time for final review! test on the same day as you, but I am traveling this weekend so no study time there. I have a question for you, have you been doing the MCQ's after the lectures? I have been just taking extensive notes while watching the lectures. I plan on reading my notes and the handouts a module at a time and do the MCQ's then. What was your strategy? I also think the material isnt too difficult there is just a lot of it…
I am using the same strategy as you! at first I was doing the MCQs after each section/topic..but because the amount of info in FAR is soo overwhelming I was worried that I wouldn't get through all the material before my exam so I just started plugging away at the lectures. I figured I will go back after watching the lectures and reread my notes, the handouts, skim the chapters and then do the MCQs. which I am sure I will do terrible on lol. I do have a good memory, though so hopefully that will help. Are you using Becker?
what state are you in? I am in MA.
AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!
@ Trevor – It doesn't help that we are waiting for our BEC scores either, which will be released in a few days hopefully. Are you in Wave 1 for BEC? I retook mine July 19 (for the 3rd time) and Yaeger for BEC was amazing. Becker just didn't do it for me. I used Becker for REG and AUD and even my REG exam was awful. I walked outta that testing center thinking I failed.
I actually already bought Becker 2010 edition for BEC and FAR, but never even used the FAR one because I ended up changing my mind and ordering Yaeger. I wanted to go with what worked.
AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!
I am using Yaeger also. I am in VT, good to see that someone else is doing the same thing. I think its a pretty good strategy honestly I would have had to do the MCQ's again after I was finished with everything anyway…
Yea I agree, its going to be a long haul. I tend to do a lot of cramming on the final weekend before the exam, I am actually taking Monday off and studying all three days until I feel ok… I am going to put in about 4 hrs every day after work from Monday-Thursday, take Fri night off and hit it pretty good on saturday morning through monday afternoon. I figure I will get about 40 hrs in this way, which would put me at about 100 total.
@trevor – nice! Ya I actually threw out my study schedule for FAR. It was depressing me because I knew I wasn't studying as much as I should be. I never kept track of my study hours for the other 3 exams and don't think I should start now. I need to gauge it in how I feel about the exam (how prepared I feel)…not how many hours I put in. (just my opinion). That reduces my stress level lol
AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!
Yea, I haven't been keeping track either. Never did for the first two I can only estimate based on the hours of video from Yaeger and the amount I think I put in on top of that… I know what you mean by how prepared you feel, for AUD I felt good the night before and for BEC i didnt feel quite as good and as it turns out my results proved it.. P.S.- now I got that song stuck in my head “I throw my hands up in the air sometimes saying aye oh gotta let go…” lol
hahaha!! well that song is definitely awesome. it pumps me up! and that describes perfectly how I feel…I want these exams to be OVER WITH and “I just wanna throw my hands up in the air sometimes…saying aye oh gotta let go! I wanna celebrate and LIVE MY LIFE!” lol…I jam to that song.
You were so close on BEC!!! Hopefully you got the 2 extra points.Sorry I don't know if you answered this – are you in Wave 1 for BEC?
AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!
