I do know what you mean. Will be taking the first offer I get as well. I think I may end up in Columbia though because there is much more accounting work available as opposed to Myrtle Beach. Would love to move out of the area but I don't know how easy it is to transfer CPA credit once I've passed everything. The job I will be interviewing for in Columbia next month doesn't even start until September 2011. I was in real estate and don't have any accounting experience so it is proving difficult to find an entry-level accounting position right now.
Well at this point I'm going to be calling NASBA/AICPA in the morning and asking to speak to someone who can give me some real information…. beyond it will be out in the next week…

I know what you mean. I am sure you have all of the skills to be successful but most accounting firms are being very careful about hiring because they are conservative by nature and the economy is so weak. I was in the mortgage industry and probably like you switched to accounting for greater opportunities. Your hard work will payoff.
