Just wanted to share – the neighbors are not home and the car horn has been blaring for over an hour. Yes, love these patio homes with just a few feet between their drive and my study!
Oh well, maybe the battery will die soon or they will come home soon. Hoprfully they are at dinner.
Good thing they are such nice people and otherwise great neighbors – or it could be a problem!
You must have ESP! All day it was one excuse after another. Well, I listened to part of a lecture and doing homework. Not a total loss… and ordering a pizza did not hurt!
I am really behind on studying but I refuse to reschedule. I take the exam Thursday and have completed all the mcq at least once. I am currently finishing up reading and redoing the mcqs for lecture 5 of Becker. I have lectures 6-9 to go plus the 2 final exams with only 3 days left. Lets burn some midnight oil people and knock this out.
My biggest concern is getting up at 8am on Thursday after all this late night studying beforehand.
By the way, the only reason I am behind is because I was celebrating my first job offer! Hoorah!
Congrats on the job offer! Will you accept? What kind of job? Public or private?
Good luck with FAR – hope yo can knock out in the next three days enough quality study time to pass! Would be great to have all 4 parts passed before starting the new job!
italianCPA I am from CA too and you have to check on the website the day after AICPA release the scores. They are really fast. You can check as early as 5AM the following day.
BEC 2/8/10 - 75 (studied hard & prayed less)
REG 5/15/10 - 88 (studied less but prayed hard)
AUDITING 8/9/10 - 79 (studied hard and prayed hard)
FAR 11/30/10 - 79 (studied hard and prayed hard) Thanks GOD! I'm DONE
CardFanCPA – Do you mind if I ask for what agency? DOD is a pretty big department with a lot of agencies within. If you don't want to disclose, I understand. I'm only wondering because I'm an auditor within DOD in the D.C. area.
I added this to my post because it was vague but I will rewrite it here:
My response was sort of vague. It is a contract auditor position with the Defense Contract Audit Agency. It seems like a great place to start my career and who does not love a government job? Should be packed with experiences, maybe not the Big 4 type. The position is in Chicago. I am still interviewing with local CPA firms and the IRS very soon. However, I really like knowing that I have this as a confident booster. I also like the uniqueness of auditing defense contracts.
