Hi guys! I'm new to the forum, even though I've been checking it out for about an year now. I took FAR on July 1, and hopefully this will be the last time I have to take a CPA exam… I'm in PA, does anyone have an idea about scores release? I never had to wait this long… I'm assuming this is because I took it on the first day of the window?!

    BEC – 75

    REG – 77

    AUD – 85

    Hi OnmywaytotheCPA,

Welcome! I like your name – guessing that it is from P. Olinto? You can stop refreshing for now….. Hopefully you will fall into Wave 1 which means you will get your score around the 3rd week of this month. If you had a new sim, you will be in wave 2 which is around the 3rd week of Sept. Jeff will post his score release predictions.

FAR is my last section too! Good luck on your score!!

    -Connie

PS – I'm also in PA

Hi Connie! Indeed my name was inspired in Peter Olinto's words… lol…

I am just hoping for a miracle… I can't wait to be done with this exam and get my life back! I guess I just need to forget about it for another couple of weeks at least… Thanks for the support. Best of luck for you as well! I'm in Pittsburgh, how about you?

    BEC – 75

I studied at a minimum 150 hours….actually more, but when I wrote down my time, I wrote it down because of all of the distractions I have at home. I have 3 kids.

    I used only Yaeger/Wiley.

If I have to do this again (which I am already banking on). I plan to review my notes for each chapter and do ALL mcq, and ALL sims, then go back and rework all of the ones I get wrong.

    Hopefully, this will work.

    OnmywaytotheCPA-

Yep – I live/work in a town north of Pittsburgh. My hubby commutes to the city daily. 🙂

Here's the link to Jeff's score release predictions in case you didn't find it:

Not easy with kids, I usually have mine pop in about 4-5 times a day, but they are very understanding considering they are 6 and 4. Just to clarify you studied 150 hours for AUD?

    FAR - 95
    AUD - 82
    REG - 94
    BEC - 84

@Gabe….sorry, I thought you were talking about FAR.

AUD, I probably studied around 100. I had 5 weeks and probably 20 hours a week.

Gosh just finished chapter 4 with the all the MCQ's in Becker. Boy on boy some of those questions are really tricky hopefully I can be done with all chapters before the last week of my scheduled exam 8/31. Am thinking of starting with chapter 5 tonight feeling really drained.

You are making good progress. Chapter 5 is good in that there are fewer topics and the examples are pretty good.

I know Jeff posted his predictions, but for some reason, I've given myself such a false sense of hope that NASBA will play a dirty trick on us and post FAR way earlier than expected – since nobody would think to check this early.

I have such mixed feelings about the exam, but still can't take the anticipation. I'm on a NFP, so Aug/Sep will be the busy season from hell. I'm tempted to start re-studying now just in case … come on, NASBA! This is my last one! Show some mercy! 🙂

thanks cpa journey sometimes a little support is needed. Its that some of the questions are really tricky in the MCQ's. Hopefully this prepares one well for the actual exam.
