Dear all! I took FAR on 7/2/2010 and still have not received my score. I am in NC and the first wave was mailed out on 9/1/2010. The lady that works at the CPA Board said that if I don't get my score within 2 weeks of the mailing date it will be in wave 2. WTF?!?! Has this happened to anyone who took the exam that early in the window? It is really aggravating to wait for two months only to find out that you may or may not get your score with the wave 1 release. I really need to know asap because if I failed I have to study so I can retake it at the beginning of October before I start work.

Does anyone know what's going on? Could this mean that I am a border line candidate? Thanks for the replies.

    BEC 87, AUD 84, FAR 7/2/10, REG 8/31/10

schneebt – Is NC a NASBA state? or snail mail…cuz you could check your score online if it's not a snail mail state. If you are in Wave 1…it probably wouldn't take 2 weeks to get your score in the mail. However, there is no way of knowing if you are in Wave 1 or Wave 2 until you actually receive your results!

    AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!

NC is snail mail state. No online checking for me. This is really ridiculous. I mean to whole point for taking the exam so early in the window is to be in wave 1. My whole schedule was set up so I would still have a month (September) to study if I failed one of those suckers before starting work in October. I believe I passed REG so the only one missing is FAR (if I failed). What the hell is the AICPA thinking pushing my score to wave 2?! I should sue their ass.

@schneebt–It is possible that you got one of the new simulation problems, in which case you would automatically be bumped to Wave 2.

    REG 94, BEC 75, AUD 84, FAR 82!!!!!!!!!

Hi all, I am new to another71.com and absolutely love this site and the exchange of info.

Took FAR on Aug26 and now sitting tight for the results. Just wondering if anyone else took FAR on the same date? I had the most bizarre sims and wonder how does the system determines the type of SIM to dish out to the candidates. Does it change daily, weekly, or depends on the candidate's ability? Will be grateful for any information since I most likely need to retake

    Many thanks!

    Hello everyone:

I will take FAR in November. I am using Becker 2009 book. Should I buy 2010 book? Becker material is very expensive. There are some changes.

    Thanks,

schneebt – I took FAR on July 9 in MA and also have not received a score online or in the mail so I must be in wave 2 as well.

CDep – where in MA are you from? I am in New Bedford. You must have gotten bumped to Wave 2 and probably got a new simulation! You took your exam early enough where it should have been in Wave 1….hopefully next week we will find out our scores.

    AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!

    @MPoni123,

I can't wait to get the scores but a little anxious about it. According to Jeff we could know next Tuesday. It feels great not having to study. My kids thought I was obsessed there for awhile 🙂

Agree with NYC CPA to be. Just get the Becker updates from online. Several people have posted comparing Becker books from different years ans did not notice much difference. If you need to see it for yourself maybe a friend would let you compare the books.

Got a 77 but it says advisory score and does not reflect on the official scores. How long will they take to update the official scores. also – the advisory scores are final right? I hope they do not come back and tell me they made a mistake!

tommyh – From what I have heard, advisory scores usually don't change, so early congrats! 🙂 What state are you in? How did you find out your score so soon??

CPABoston – I hear you!! I have been nervous since Monday morning, even though FAR won't be released until next week sometime. I am curious to see if BEC will get released by the AICPA tomorrow. It feels amazing not to study! I feel like a normal human being now haha

    AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!

cinp, what materials did you use for BEC? I am wondering because you get a relatively decent score.

    REG 77 (07/03/10)
    BEC 79 (08/30/10)
    FAR 77 (11/27/10)
