Sorry, I disappeared and actually passed out after getting my score. I'd spent the 3 nights before waiting on a release. I'm in NY, a NASBA State – and my score/NTS had a slight “transmission issue” according to my NASBA representative. I'm not sure how many others posted last night or if mine was just because of the transmission issue.

@Chay – I got a 73 the first time I took FAR and it killed me. I ended up taking the Becker Final Review Course, and it was the best money ever spent. I highly recommend their “final review” courses to anyone who needs those extra few points.

CPASchoolDropout when you say Becker final review course do you mean the final review exam or the whole Becker review course for FAR. Sorry I know this is a silly question but I still thought I should ask because am using the Becker material..

PASSED FAR!!! Thank you God!!!! I will tell anyone studying that not to overlook the details. Instead of just skimming over the topics, if anything has a detail inm it, know those details!

I just checked on my apllication and this is what it said “The section(s) of your Notice to Schedule (NTS) have been attended and scored. The score(s) reported generated a score notice to be mailed to you”. I checked this morning and this was not there. My grade is not posting now but is it possible it will later tonight.

Also I cannot register for Far is this a good indicator that I passed? Any thoughts

Hi guys, I am brand new to this website and this is my first post, so sorry if I am doing this wrong.

I am a little confused on how scores are released/ sent/ posted, etc. I am in NC (and this is where I am registered to take the exams). When I checked out their website, it seems that the NC scores are actually mailed (like, honest-to-god post office mail) after the scores are released to the NC State Board. I see on here, though, that there's a way to check online? Is this true for NC as well, or are we seriously just that slow and old school?

@Busy: NASBA states post scores online. Based on what I've read, NC is not a NASBA state. It is an independent state (some would call it “indie” state. So it won't post through NASBA's site. Not sure if they have a way of retrieving it through the state's site or not.

@mike: what state are you in? If you can't register for the section, it might be a good indication that you passed. It's hard to say…..works for some but not all.

ChaFay, CPA I'm in TN. I tried to register through TN and Ohio and and cannot register in either state. Thanks for your response.

@mike: Unfortunately the loophole through OH worked for me………I could re-register and ended up with a 74. Just found out Thursday night. Back to the drawing board. Not sure if you would get a score release tonight or not. I'd think Monday night.

Quick question everyone:

My FAR score expires on 8/31/10. Does that mean that I have to take and pass my last part on 8/31/10 or 8/30/10 to completely pass this exam? I have my last part, Audit, scheduled for 8/31/10 and am freaking out because I didn't realize this issue.

you should be fine,you can take your last exam in the last day of expiration and will nt lose your credit as long as youmget a 75 or more.
