@varhej – I only gave myself 5 weeks as well. I used Yaeger for FAR and just finished all the lectures on Tuesday. I am starting my review now and sit for it on 8/31…I hope that is enough time! As long as you can stick to a schedule (study 25 hours a week) you should be ok

Yeah thats what I figured, I use Becker and watched the first lecture and wanted to poke my eyes out. I'll have to get back to the grind tomorrow. I'd like to hear I passed BEC before I get going, but Wisconsin sucks so we'll see

sounds like we are in the same boat but with different sections. i am waiting on REG, and i take AUD this weekend. i checked the ohio loophole since REG was released by AICPA yesterday, and it lets me check the REG box, and the others are grayed out. i'm desperately hoping that the loophole is wrong/not updated and i passed it, while trying to focus on AUD.

what you said about the LA person who could re-register but ended up passing gives me hope. good luck to you

Keep in mind October 1st is the first day of a testing window, and therefore you won't see your scores until (at the earliest) 7 weeks later. No need to take FAR on Day 1, unless you have a second exam planned in the middle of that testing window, IMO.

@varhej – I hear you….I couldn't get ANY studying done for FAR for days because I was so anxious about getting my BEC score. Score releases really prohibit me from doing anything else…so I am making up for lost time now. I will just see how it goes on Tuesday….even though I really just want to be done with all this BS, I won't be super upset if I have to retake the exam in the October/November testing window. FAR is my last exam!

@DocHalladay – good point. I always tried to schedule my exams at the end of testing windows..so the wait time wouldn't be as long. I would hate to take the chance that I got a new sim and it automatically bump me into Wave 2. Sitting for FAR 8/31 automatically puts me in Wave 2 and I will know my results by the end of September. If I need to retake it…I won't sit for it until November probably

Yeah I'm trying to take another one November 1st and November 30th, If i failed BEC maybe I won't be so ambitious but I'd rather not deal with the 2011 changes.

It will be a tough wait for scores for me though!

@ wishful thinking – Good luck to you too! It's so hard to focus. In many ways, your third part is worse than the last because you usually get your score while studying to take what you had hoped to be your test. I wish you the best of luck. And on AUD, you CAN pass it. I promise. If you are using Becker just know those questions and the order the paragraphs go in (and change) in the opinion. You can do it!

i have been knocking out Becker for the past couple of months for AUD, and i feel pretty good about it. i passed FAR/BEC already, but i just felt terrible after leaving REG, and the checkbox not being grayed out just upset me this morning. i really hope there is some way i passed. i guess i didn't focus enough while studying. tax rules/impacts just kill me, and it was crucial on the testlets and simulations. go at it hard, and good luck tomorrow!

Yes this is (hopefully). I am at work and refuse to check the loophole as I might get very emotional if i can register and I can't do that at a new job…..and look like a fool 🙂
