RinaLParticipantEveryone stop worrying so much. Just because you haven't gotten your score yet doesn't mean you should read too much into it. Honestly, I think NASBA is just slow to put all are scores up. They don't care if we wait or not. Don't stress too much about when you get your score. It doesn't necessarily mean you are borderline. I actually felt okay about FAR and I took it early in the month. Not sure if I got a new sim or not; but that is one possibility about not getting my score yet. The other possibility is that the score will release tonight. I know that I received my AUD score at 10:15pm the other day. Everyone was checking constantly so the site did end up crashing for awhile.
This is an excerpt from an interview Jeff had with AICPA.
6. Borderline Candidates?
another71.com: Another widely held sentiment about score releases is that if a candidate doesn't receive their score in Wave 2 of a testing window, then they are “borderline” – i.e., 72-77. Would you say that in general, the most candidates who don't receive their score by Wave 2 are “borderline?”
AICPA: There are several possible reasons why some scores are released faster than others. If psychometric analysis is required, for example, the scores of all candidates who took a articular examination version – whether passing, failing or on the brink – are held until the analysis is completed. For those who took AUD, FAR or REG, the “second reads” of written communication responses may also be a factor. “Second reads” are additional reviews of essays for candidates whose scores are close to passing.

LSU_BRParticipantI think it's a bit of a long shot to say if you haven't gotten a score yet you failed and that everyone that has gotten scores so far has passed. I personally know of two people I work with that failed. It's hard enough not having a score yet but then you read messages on here saying if you haven't received a score you failed. I would say NASBA and AICPA have been anything but predictable and I for one would not like the odds of betting against those of us who have not received our scores yet.
AUD 95 (3/5/10); BEC 83 (5/28/10); FAR 71, 72, 74, 82 (10/16/10); REG 65,80(11/23/10)
ALL DONE 🙂August 25, 2010 at 11:35 pm #244462
Florida_CandidateParticipantI think it would make sense the ‘easier' tests to grade were released first, so it has more to do with people that had a lot of old reused questions rather than a bunch of new ones? Rather than how people did?

SERCPAParticipantI took FAR 7/20. Very first exam. I called NASBA today to get the low down on my score and the lady told me my scores have not been received and I should expect them in wave 2. She told me that the scores released in the 2 waves are done randomly. So who really knows?? My sims were nothing crazy. Both loopholes say all exams are in process (which makes sense if my scores have not been received) and my OASIS says scores have not been received. Missouri Candidate.

AnonymousInactiveI agree. I felt good about FAR also so I really don't think I failed. Took it in July and yet no score. NASBA confirmed that they did not receive my score and so did VA BOA. So I guess I'll be getting 3 scores in wave 2. Good luck to everyone waiting, don't panic. It'd be nice to receive my score now though…

ZaaraParticipantI have to agree…can we please stop saying those who haven't received it have failed? I know everyone is stressed but come on…..

RinaLParticipant@big shot cpa – NASBA told everyone that they didn't receive their scores. Everyone in this forum was getting the same message yesterday. However, I wouldn't put much faith into this. Some of those people ended up getting their scores last night. I'm guessing that NASBA might post another set of the scores released by the AICPA sometime tonight. And if you don't get it then, you are probably in wave 2.
I also felt that FAR went okay, and my sims weren't that bad at all. I'll just have to wait and see. 🙂

AnonymousInactiveI'm in VA which is an independent state and I called NASBA just in case as a last resort. VA receptionist is always nice and helpful and they did not have my score (they wouldn't lie because you have to actually call to get your score in VA). So unless some scores come out with REG, I'm wave 2. Ahhh

AnonymousInactiveYeah everyone needs to relax. Theres no chance that they only released the high margin passing scores. It make NO sense, although neither does any part of this process. But come on, have a little faith and wait it out. I know I would be freaking too if I could re-register for the part and had been told my score was received. Even then its not an absolute. Be patient.
