mb0363MemberState and local governments have various sources of revenue. When revenues are received from charges to users for services provided, these revenues are classified as:
A. program revenues.
B. general revenues.
C. general revenues and program revenues.
D. specific revenues.
Can someone lead me to where Becker discusses this?

OnMyWay732ParticipantWhen everyone says Becker questions are harder than CPA for FAR, do you just mean the final exams or progress test questions as well?
I just got a 74 with minimal help so just wondering if I should feel good or not haha

Used Becker online. Who needs a text when you can burn your eyes out staring at the screen for months on end?
"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you're hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

plotikkk85MemberHi All! I am working with becker chapter 2. Not sure how to deal with this question:
House Publishers offered a contest in which the winner would receive $1,000,000, payable over 20 years. On December 31, Year 1, House announced the winner of the contest and signed a note payable to the winner for $1,000,000, payable in $50,000 installments every January 2. Also on December 31, Year 1, House purchased an annuity for $418,250 to provide the $950,000 prize monies remaining after the first $50,000 installment, which was paid on January 2, Year 2.
In its Year 1 income statement, what should House report as contest prize expense?
a. $468,250
b. $0
c. $418,250
d. $1,000,000
The right answer is A. But why?

AnonymousInactive@Plot,
In determining contest prize expense, one aggregates the PV of the purchased annuity to pay the prize in addition to any upfront installments paid within the first year.

OnMyWay732ParticipantSooo I just got home from FAR…needless to say it was not fun. It wasn't really how I expected. A lot more conceptual MCQ than math intensive. Not to say there were none involving math, but nothing compared to Becker. And also doesn't mean I knew them all.
I felt my sims were atrocious. In my gut feeling, it all relies on how I did on my sims…fingers crossed!!! Anxiously awaiting December 9

DantrickParticipantI took FAR yesterday. People said the first testlet was easy, then they got harder. My first question was a huge bond question. I couldn't believe this was suppose to be the easy testlet. I have to say the test was actually harder then I thought it would be. I was super bummed I did not get any conceptual or inventory. Study IFRS, Pension, Government, and JE. The simulations were long. I left myself 2 hours for the simulation and I used every minute. I used Wiley Test Bank and Ninja Notes.
