SO I know every test is different but does anyone have any insight on what has been heavily tested recently? I take the exam Monday and I need to narrow my focus….Thanks!

@jstay. Right, I meant current portion. That makes more sense…I was just confused as to why the answer explained the 1,364 when we didn't have to use it for the answer. Thanks!

In Chapter 9, I feel like Becker is trying to explain that the Fund F/S include the Governmental, Proprietary, and Fiduciary funds. But I was almost sure that Chapter 8 Distinguished that Govt. Wide = Proprietary and Fiduciary while Fund F/S = Governmental.

Also in Chapter 9, now Fiduciary funds are excluded from Govt. Wide, while Internal Service (Propriety) are lumped with the Governmental Funds.

Can someone explain this to me? What is going on here? I thought I had a grasp on things until Page 20 of Chapter 9…

I just found out a passed FAR and absolutely thank this FAR Q4 study group for playing part in that. I would log on a few times a day to attempt any questions that people posted. Or to “teach” someone the explanation to answer, which was really helping me further study/understand. Keep posting good questions…it definitely helps other people out!

    Statement of cash flow question:

Are bond transactions investing or financing activities? I've seen a couple different multiple choice questions where they appear to be alternating. I'm guessing the distinction is in the wording…

Juliemiddle: I have not taken the exam yet but preparing for retake (sounds weird, right?). Could you let me know what was your study procedure second time around? It is an impressive difference between your first and second score.

mb0363 Fiduciary funds are excluded from the government wide financials because they hold assets as trustees for others. Fiduciary funds are used to report assets held in a trustee or agency capacity for others and therefore cannot be used to support the government’s own programs.

Remember that if the funds can not be used to support govt programs do not include in govt wide. They are agents of other entities, hope this helps.

For me to easily remember the difference with US and IFRS (U and I) (sounds like You and I)
