    question for those who have previously taken FAR,

    In your past experiences, how much IFRS was actually tested on the exam?

    @stoleway

    Wouldn't that be 7 months to the end of the year if it was issued on 6/12? And how would you deal with stock splits?

    Big Bob: You should definitely know it well. But you never know what you will get. Everyone test is different…unfortunately that is the variable in this whole thing.

    @bigbob – I had quite a few questions on IFRS in my last exam. I would defiantly know the different types of methods IFRS uses.

    FAR - 46, 79 (7/8/14)
    AUD - 56, 59, 2/23/15 3rd times a charm!
    BEC - 69, 74 Really??
    REG - April, I hope. Fingers crossed!

    Delta Diva — That is what I plan on doing. Just a question. It looks like you passed the other 3 on the first try is that because the amount of material is less or you just overall were more familiar with them from the start. I take FAR on Thursday and plan on just reviewing notes and going through the Journal entries as well. Make sure I understand as much as possible. I will start studying for AUD on Monday. Any advice from you is greatly appreciated. I took my first exam on 5/30 completely unprepared well not completely but I let my nerves get the best of me. I consider that my practice round. So in my eyes my journey starts on the 3rd.

    Starting my final 2 week review!! any tips? there are still so many concepts I need to work on. My plan is to dedicate a day to a chapter and then spend the remaining days redoing missed MCQs/practicing JEs/Sims..

    7 days for me until FAR day- will be doing nonstop MCQ and SIMs, I will probably review any notes the day before, I figure it is more important to get the MCQs/SIMs down and read if I'm really stuck

    AUD: 81
    REG:5/29/15
    BEC:85

    Tnincy– So did you actually move your exam?

    I am just reviewing the NINJA blitz video and notes. I am so burnt out on MCQ that I am trying give myself a break for a bit. I want to make sure everything is fresh in my mind. I am doing short MCQ sessions between blitz videos. I have 1.5 days. Just trying to make the most of my time. Still don't feel 100% confident but I guess you never do. Running through some of the SIMS making sure I know the formats and the information. Thanks for everyone's advice. GOOD LUCK with your studies.

    Thanks Kenada – I am ready to get a fresh start on some new information. You never know if you will get a passing score or not. I am much more prepared this go round. But still not to the point I would like to be. I have realized that my preparation for the first exam I was further off than I had expected. I understand things a lot better. I feel like I have a better chance of working through the questions this time rather than guessing. I am reviewing all the information today but I want to make sure I am good on Govt NFP and IFRS. I will be focusing my studies on that tomorrow. I am considering my first exam as a complete practice run. I feel like journey starts July 3rd. And hopefully it will go well. I will start studying for AUD next. I have my other 3 scheduled and will have a better plan from the start for those.
