    tncincy, thank you!! :))

I feel like I am trying my best. Thanks for your words of ENCOURAGEMENT! I want to make sure I do my last two exams right, THE FIRST TIME. Not have to retake it many times. If it takes me a little longer, oh well. (that's what i keep trying to tell myself) but yes i get a little self conscious too reading other people's “fast” stories.. thank you thank you

    BEC - 81 4/08/14

@kpb I'm right there with you. Takes me the same 2-3 days. I spend whatever the amount of time the lecture is (about 3 hours generally) then the next day I do all the MCQs and SIMs which take around 5 to 7 hours depending on the volume. Of course I spread it throughout the day taking breaks (doing anything to avoid listening to Gearty).

I honestly don't read the chapters. I have read sections/pages that have been skipped over but that's it.

EYNewHire, glad i'm not the only one. I like the lectures and reading the book is equally as helpful to me. I find the MCQs to be very long and hard though, i have to split it up between two-three days ….do a section a day kind of thing. Read a section, do the MCQs once for that section, depending how long it takes me if i have extra time, ill redo whatever i got wrong or start the next section same thing: read, do mcqs, then last day i watch the lectures, re-do whatever questiosn i got wrong.

@2014 CPA … Yeah, that was eventually my understanding. I think the explanation was worded poorly.

So I just finished a practice exam. 63, 63, and 43 (hard as hell), but I did a lot better on the sims this time (100, 100, 83, 100, 78, 9 (had no clue how to do), 100). I am kinda pissed though that the multiple choice were really hard and the sims were really easy. Not sure why Becker doesn't have harder sims on the practice exams. Anyways, I feel defeated and like crap. Time to do a seated body scan meditation.

@Tootsie How much time did you have left at the end? Did you check after each testlet and go back and review your answers if you had time to spare?

@tootsie i'm scoring right about where you are, my MCs are a bit better @ 65ish% but to be fair Gleim splits it up. So there's less material tested. My sim scores are at about ~80-85%

Gonna start final review this week, doing a practice exam either tonight or Saturday morning.

if I fail FAR I am not retaking it until i've taken AUD, BEC, and REG. I know the logic is to do it while it's ‘fresh' in your head but I do believe in letting information just settle then re-visit it. Tbh mostly of what's ‘fresh' is prob wrong info, best to just restart and i think u can only truly do that by re-doing everything. The thought of going back over this topic for a month or even longer just makes me feel sick. I don't know if Gleim is comprehensive enough, we'll see, but I plan on switching to Becker if I have to do a re-take.

I feel like this may be a dumb question, but I still in full MCQ/SIM mode and have not done any full practice exams, I'm not sure that I was planning to do one, but maybe I should? What does everyone else do leading up to exam? I have a little over 2 weeks left and still many SIMs/MCQs to go through, so not sure if I will have enough time to spare, unless it is something I should do

    AUD: 81
    REG:5/29/15
    BEC:85

@EYNewHire, I think I had like 1.5 hours left. I wanted to leave extra time for the sims. I think I'll do better next time by really focusing on chapters 7 and 10, my weaker areas. I think the Becker practice exams are harder, which is good, but I feel like the real exam is not as hard (besides the sims!). Also, my friend got a 58 on his Becker practice exam for REG and actually passed with a 77. I'll do better next time around.

Ok, I am reviewing the questions I got wrong and really shot myself in the foot. I was tired and cranky when taking the exam, so maybe that is why I did poor. Also, I did not double-check my answers because I wanted to save time for sims.

I have completed the 2 practice exams; does anyone know where I can find 1 online, for free possibly?

@magatha I'm gonna do the ninja mc challenge this weekend. i'm gonna go through every MC I haven't done through all my chapters for gleim from Monday-Friday. through this i'm gonna also collect all JEs and rewrite them. Then next Saturday for about 4 hrs go through all the past AICPA questions. Rewrite JEs some more, do comprehensive quizzes and try to memorize formulas and big items i consistently get wrong.

i take the exam on july 1st

Did anyone else find the optional homework for F7 incredibly hard? This is my second time going through F7 and I made 90 on the “required” MCQ in Becker, but on the optional section I absolutely bomb each time.

    FAR - 93 - 7/1/14
    AUD - 94 - 7/25/14
    REG - 92 - 8/30/14
    BEC - 89 - 10/6/14

Has anyone used the Becker's final review? Did you find it made a significant difference?

I just got Roger Cram. The cram book is very thick and it has lots of mc problems and simulations. I just hope if helps me go from a 71 to a 75.

    @Magatha,

I am taking the challenge as well. I don't have ninja mcq's but I do have wtb. This is a great time to really drill headed toward the test date. I am up 7/7 so I really want to see if endurance will pay off. It's easy to just do a few questions, but to keep doing questions, even if they are answered wrong for me will help me not be afraid to face the questions. I kind of shy away from the questions because I HATE the wrong answer. But since I have been doing more and more questions, I can see simple things to remember. Not the answers, but what I need to remember to calculate the correct answer. With the theory questios, I found that most of them I got wrong is because I did not read the question entirely. So hey, if we want to pass, and I do, here is the chance to pour it on. I won't win a blitz, but it's power weekend for me even though:

My children are home from college (eating everything), my husband had a tooth pulled (big baby), my mother-in-law wants to plan a birthday party for my husband (her grown son) my youngest daughter just got her driver license a few days ago (Oh Lord)…….I CAN FEEL THE SPIRIT OF DISTRACTION ALL WEEK END!!! BUT I AM RESISTING IT …. I will be successful this weekend. I will complete the mcq challenge.

    It begins with a 75
Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to pass
