I'm doing a mad amount of NINJA mcs right now, trying to get my trending up close to 80, then I'll do my sim review along with my IFRS and capital lease journal entry review tomorrow. I know it sounds weird, but I'm superstitious as hell, so I feel like if I get my trending score up, I'll do well.

Jstay, make sure on the simulations you make use of the authorative literature feature. I made the mistake of never looking at it and it has cost me. Supposedly sometimes they give you the same exact examples as those on the simulation.

Also, thanks on clarifying the encumbrances issue. I had a MCQ on Wiley asking when does reserve for encrumbances increase, and it would be when the purchase order is approved.

where are the examples located?

Have you looked at how the research tab works? That's all it is, you could search for any topic and sometimes it has exactly what you are looking for.

cpahopeful, i know how it works but where would these examples be? under the “implentation guidance & illustrations” section?

also, for ninja mcq- i started today trending at 77. got a 76% on my first 30 question run through- trending score went up to 77.40. then my next two sections (of 30 questions) i got an 80% and a 90% respectively and now my trending is at 76.20%. does that make sense?

also cpahopeful, do you know how to pick and choose what sims you want on ninja? i want to do more journal entry based ones?

Yeah, sometimes the examples are right in the illustrative section or even just in the regular section per se.

Makes no sense, but looks like you are having some solid scores now.

so what would you search? key words from the sim? or just look through the topic?

Yeah, so find the thread on the other page that Jeff created that has what type of simulation per question, and use that. Then when you find the journal entry problems, go to custom sim, and click on by number.

So if a journal entry is #8, click that.

If you have a pension problem just put in pension and go from there. Use the search within box to be more specific.

cool ill check that out later. yeah my scores are alright but i just feel like no matter my score, im going to get to the exam and not have a clue on what they are asking me

I hear you, same thing happens to me but I never sat and understood every single JE like you. By just knowing the correct entries you will pass.
