“too friendly” is a legitimate complaint in my opinion. If you are in MA, that is

yeah I'm just anxious for it to be over, i feel like I'm doing well on my mcq that i should've scheduled the test earlier.

Also, just looked at one ninja mcq and it was the same question from becker. but are the rest going to be different?

@DC & @Anjan — Were y'all not able to schedule for tomorrow (14th) instead of the 15th? That extra day is going to be a much longer wait for score release.

Jstay, yes, this is gonna be my first exam.

Bobcat87, I don't really mind waiting, I am not gonna start studying for AUD or FAR until the scores are released, so i'll get 3 careless weeks I will spend finally cleaning the house, cooking, catching up on tv shows, playing with my son etc.

Well when i scheduled it I thought the cutoff was 15th for some reason, didn't look carefully enough at the dates and I have always taken my exam on a Friday. The waiting is going to be torture lol, but I do have lots going on between work and MBA classes to keep me occupied…

I would have moved it to a later date but my my MBA classes start next week anyway so no point.

@Anna I'd go for Audit, then Reg.. BEC is easiest in my opinon

@hopeful – GAAP –> probable, reasonably possible, remote

IFRS–> probable = more likely than not, possible = may but probably won't happen

@anna and @jstay…not sure how old you are but i graduated college almost 5 years ago now…my brain is definitely feeling those struggles.. if i finish these exams, brain: commence deterioration. i think may just retire.

    too much stressssssssssssss.

there's karaoke in my hotel bar. and it sounds fun. WHAT DOES FUN FEEL LIKE? i will know tomorrow. TOMORROW.

my plan is to hopefully, somehow, get at least a 75 on FAR (though i feel like its impossible right now =/) and then go into BEC because I'm taking 12 credits next semester so i think i can do it with the workload. hopefully take BEC mid october and then possibly study for AUD for end of november or early january and then get my tax experience next tax season and sit for REG right after. praying it all works out because i want my life back..

I also was able to have continued focus and memory for much longer also…… and now finishing CPA hopefully and MBA by mid-summer next year… and def no more school ….

hah i feel you D C. i haven't stopped school so i'm legit burnt. it was way more fun than work until i was doing both. i turned 27 last week and have my MBA as well. but it's what i did in college that's affecting my brain today. it's just not the same. or maybe i've just absorbed so much info i physically am incapable without pushing out other info… like friends birthdays.

or how to spell “listened” or “turtle” as i took a minute to review while typing today.or just regular old bond interest. i know the theories and i know the difficult calcs. i'm seeing easy calcs and am like WHOA WTF CHINESE?

brain is literally saying. just stop. i refuse to take anything else. VACATION.

    and apparently tourettes

now i must google the spelling of that. and perhaps go to sleep.

    I just can't

Ichor Co. reported equipment with an original cost of $379,000 and $344,000, and accumulated depreciation of $153,000 and $128,000, respectively, in its comparative financial statements for the years ending December 31, 20X2 and 20X1. During 20X2, Ichor purchased equipment costing $50,000, and sold equipment with a carrying value of $9,000. What amount should Ichor report as depreciation expense for 20X2?

    A. $19,000

    B. $25,000

    C. $31,000

    D. $34,000

    @Anna… its 31k..

You have to read this problem a little bit more carefully to figure out what they are giving you.

So they say comparative FS. So the way I did it was to setup 2 T-Accounts or “BASE” Formulas

    BASE formula 1:

    Beg Equip = 344

    Add: 50 Purchase

    Subt. End (379)

= 15k equipment removed from the books at cost. The CV was 9k so 15-9= 6k in acc'l depr that was also removed.

    BASE formula 2:

    Beg Accl' Depr: 128

Add: X (for current year depr exp.)

    Subtract: 6k

    Ending= 153k

So 128+x-6=153, so x = 31k which your current year depr. exp.

    R - 71, 77
    F - 72, 77
