    1st full week of studying for my retake. I jumped right into Ninja MCQ, and about half way done. My average score is 78-the topics I am weak on are no surpise. I started to re-write my own notes today, but that was so de-motivating, I didn’t get very far. Tomorrow I need to re-write my notes (they are disjointed from my first test, I want to re-write them by topic in a new notebook). I really need to re-read my Becker book on acquisitions, equity method, and non-monetary exchanges so far. My plan is to get through the rest of the Ninja MCQ by end of next week, and re-write the rest of my notes. I then plan on printing out Ninja notes (didn’t utilize last time) and then jump into SIMS, while re-doing the missed MCQ in Ninja and continue re-reading the book. How are others approaching their re-take?

    I've warned the family that dinner will be on them for the next 10 days. LOL. I'm getting ready to review F4. I'm also making a list of topics to fine tune. I also learned that after 3 hours of mcq I don't have the energy to focus on sims. LOL.

    I have my coffee and now its study time 🙂

    @msquared17 Even though you are reviewing, how do you keep from feeling like you've never seen the information before? I am getting used to Becker (still new 🙂 ) but I am doing NINJA mcq's. I know the concepts are the same but how do you get rid of the ever learning feeling?

    @tncincy – This might sound silly, but I had to change my mindset. I've accepted that I'm never going to know all of it. I'm not beating myself up when I get a wrong answer anymore. It's a never ending learning process. Honestly, (not to sound cliche) the more questions I do, the more I learn, and the more answers I get right. This has definitely boosted my confidence level. Keep doing the questions and eventually you will feel better. The quality of my studying has also improved. Meaning I'm more focused than before. I'm easily distracted so I had to find a way to tune everything else out. And when I feel like I'm starting drift, I either stop for the evening or take a break.

    This week was suppose to be my power week, but for some reason I just can't get right!! I have managed to study throughout the day by listening to lectures, taking notes, reading the book, and short quizzes of multiple choice, but by the time I get home I'm drained and just want to rest! I need a pick me up or something!!! Ugh….

    @ican – sounds like you’re getting a lot done during the day. Maybe a cup of coffee or short walk would give you a little in the evening. 🙂

    At it again today. I think I made a mistake by trying to throw in Becker in the middle of NINJA. But figuring it out is my middle name so I am doing Ninja mcq's topic by topic and writing out my notes. (running out of time.)

    @tncincy – I agree with you. Switching in the middle can be tough. Maybe use Becker for extra questions and Sims.

    Thanks, msquared17, Paid for Reg today as well. Good luck to you. I just realized you'll be taking the test on the 21st. I really don't have a good feeling of preparedness for far, but I am plugging away anyway.

    Today’s a new day. Last night was not a good study night. Bonds were giving me so much trouble. Better luck today. Trying not to get into my head about how much I don’t know 7 days before my test. It’s goung to be a long weekend.

    Test is next week and I need some resurgence of energy. I am so over looking at a computer in the evenings I've been just re-writing notes which I know is good but i feel like I need to do the questions… I'll pick back up with questions tomorrow and Sunday then Tuesday – Thursday is MCQs and SIMS… Friday am is cram until my 12:30 exam

    UGH, this is the LAST one I need (and REG expires next Friday too – yikes)… Please send good vibes and advice.

    I just watched Jeff's video instruction to someone that had 7 days before far and he recommends getting through the material (for them) and non stop ninja notes/audio and non stop mcq's. Strongest to weakest topics until 70% scores. I think that's what I am going to do. I have too many chapters to left so while I have energy I am going for it. I might just listen to lectures and do ninja notes. The whole point is to not waste anymore time. I guess it can work for 10 days.

    I am also prepping for a FAR re-take after I failed with a 74 in January 2017. (Certain life circumstances and weight loss obsession put things on hold in most of 2017 but I did pass AUD in March 2017). Im just over halfway through my gleim book. Gonna really try to crush the rest of it before next Sunday. I most likely missed out on that one point because I had a crazy overtime filled week at work leading up to that exam date and didn't have a ton of time to study. This time I will have an entire weekend leading up to the exam and a half day that friday before. I got pensions pretty much down last night. Bonds I remember I had down to a science last time. Biggest concerns no doubt are leases, equity, consolidations, and derivatives. Believe I will roll through governmental and nonprofit considering my firm specializes in auditing those types of clients.

    tncincy, how many hours per day do you study ? do you work or study full time?

    So I didn't get much studying done yesterday. So far, today hasn't been productive either. I still have the evening so there is hope. I just did 20 mcq in Becker and Ninja with very disappointing scores. Becker 20% (all chapters) and Ninja 60% (all questions). This isn't good for 1 week before test date. I'll keep at it and hopefully these will start to increase over the next few days.

    @tncincy
    – how are you?

    @auditsucks, I run my own business therefore, I work full time. It's tax season so I am swamped. I won't complain because I need the money. I do at least 3 to 4 hours, I have picked it up. I am in cram mode so I am doing as many mcq's as possible. I put the lectures down and doing notes and audio. Today is extra busy so I don't know how today will go.
