1st full week of studying for my retake. I jumped right into Ninja MCQ, and about half way done. My average score is 78-the topics I am weak on are no surpise. I started to re-write my own notes today, but that was so de-motivating, I didn’t get very far. Tomorrow I need to re-write my notes (they are disjointed from my first test, I want to re-write them by topic in a new notebook). I really need to re-read my Becker book on acquisitions, equity method, and non-monetary exchanges so far. My plan is to get through the rest of the Ninja MCQ by end of next week, and re-write the rest of my notes. I then plan on printing out Ninja notes (didn’t utilize last time) and then jump into SIMS, while re-doing the missed MCQ in Ninja and continue re-reading the book. How are others approaching their re-take?

I am so excited but don't know where to start. My test is 4/23. I just want to be ready for the test.

@tncicny- maybe do a few progress tests in Becker to get a baseline.

Did you guys write the notes from Becker or did you use the Ninja notes to summarize everything.

@Tncincy – I never took notes on my own other than the ones T. Gearty and P. Olinto told me to highlight and write stuff down. I skimmed through the Ninja notes for FAR, but just once. I don't think it would have made any difference for me on the exam date.

@tncincy – For the retake I wrote notes as I was going through Becker. It seems to help some. I tried rewriting them during final review but it was time consuming and didn’t make a difference when I was doing mcq. As I’m working the questions and reviewing the notes I realized that rewriting things like formulas and JE’s does help. I didn’t care for the Ninja notes. I did read them once.

@Tncincy-I think this is the best birthday present you could have asked for! 🙂 LOL I think use the Becker for SIMS and Skills Practice and do the progress tests in Becker at this point. You can also listen to some lectures on topics where you feel you are shaky. good luck-you will pass you will pass! 🙂

Fun fact-I like Peter Olinto's page on FB, because I am a big fan, and he actually replied to my comment the other day-the dork in me was so excited! Tncincy-enjoy his lectures-he is awesome! 🙂 LOL

I was working through some of the questions, I'm still working on progress. I do love Olinto's accent. What ever it takes to pass that's what I'll do. about 25 days left. Yes, I am eating stress food and trying not to go nuts.

Ninja MCQ plus Becker is an excellent combo and you have plenty of time to get this done! Good luck!

@anyatver – what was your strategy on AUD? I'm averaging high 90's on Becker progress tests (just from A1-A4)… I have the Ninja subscription, but I won't get to it until I'm completely done with the Becker material. Studying for AUD is like being on a vacation after FAR, but still don't want to take it lightly.

@tncincy – glad to see back engaged. I've spent the last few hours reviewing notes. Now on to mcq's.

I”m losing motivation on this good Friday study wise… 3rd attempt at FAR on 4/20 (the day my REG expires – this is the last one I need).

I've (re) read the first part of the ninja book and I'm only trending at 59% over all. I am just going through all new MCQ's… besides reading the book/notes and MCQ's over the next 2 weeks (focusing on SIMS the last week) – what else can I do?
I'm using all Ninja material as my Becker expired 🙁 I did 5pts worse attempt #2 so I'm freaking out a bit!

@Pam – Hang in there. Maybe switch things up a little and tackle a few sims.
