    1st full week of studying for my retake. I jumped right into Ninja MCQ, and about half way done. My average score is 78-the topics I am weak on are no surpise. I started to re-write my own notes today, but that was so de-motivating, I didn’t get very far. Tomorrow I need to re-write my notes (they are disjointed from my first test, I want to re-write them by topic in a new notebook). I really need to re-read my Becker book on acquisitions, equity method, and non-monetary exchanges so far. My plan is to get through the rest of the Ninja MCQ by end of next week, and re-write the rest of my notes. I then plan on printing out Ninja notes (didn’t utilize last time) and then jump into SIMS, while re-doing the missed MCQ in Ninja and continue re-reading the book. How are others approaching their re-take?

    Passed FAR with an 81! I was feeding my baby with bottle in one hand while refreshing my phone all day bc CA is that slow in releasing scores. I legit started crying when I saw the top box next to FAR filled with something.. it didn’t matter what it was for a few seconds. Then I checked the score at the bottom.. I almost couldn’t believe the score I was seeing because I had walked out of that test only working on 7/8 SIMs

    FAR retake friends… I'm headed in today. I'm not has confident on this section as I have been with others. I'm obtaining a 53-55% average and doing OK on the 7 SIMS I've practiced (I've got another 2 hours to cram).

    Words of encouragement from those trending like me but managed to pull a 75?? REG is on the line (4/20 exp) so I need all the good vibes and encouragement I can get at this point. I keep flipping between peptalks and tears!

    Congrats to all that have passed, to the rest of us, I'm pulling for us all

    @allsheneeded-congrats!

    Tncincy-I think Ninja SIMS will do just fine! Ninja SIMS are better than no SIMS. Check out the AICPA practice test as well-it's very similar in look and feel at least to the real thing.

    Pam-good luck today! Give it all you got! 🙂

    @anyatver- CONGRATS! I knew you would pass it! I need advice on how to structure my final review. I have two weeks (can be more if I need it). I was planning to review two chapters per day. This would include rewriting the notes, completing any skills practice not done, and doing progress test of 40 questions. The next phase would be to tackle the sims for each chapter. I'm thinking I plan to do two chapters per day and 20-40 mcq. If all goes as planned, I will still have 4 days left before test day. I'm thinking I woudl use this time to continue MCQ and do atleast one mock exam. Does this sound reasonable? Please share what worked for you during final review this time.

    @ mskcle- WTG!

    @tncincy
    – I had to take a week off due to work travel. I did not get a chance to review F5-8 as planned for last week. I'm moving on to F9 tomorrow with hopes of completing f10 by Sunday.

    @msquared17 Sound like you have a great plan. I don't have Becker so I guess that's what the f5-8 is about, but tow chapters, notes, mcq's sims and a mock sounds diligent anyway. My problem is waiting for the information to become interesting, I guess I should stop waiting. 🙁 . I think I'm doing too much searching and reading on how to pass instead of just study. Get it over with. I've been here too many times, but it just seem so far away.

    @mskcle-congrats! REG is not as bad as FAR, I think, don't get hung up on phaseouts, know entity taxation cold. Don't ignore estates. Ninja MCQ and SIMS were a great addition to Becker!
    @msquared17-focus on the SIMS and skills practice. I would do MCQ of course just to keep things fresh but they became less productive for me toward the end. I used the blueprint to drill down the topics I thought would be as SIMS. What also helped is that the last few days I took every single topic and would write notes from memory-as if you are explaining it to someone, with JEs, that really helped to solidify and bring everything together. Good luck-you are almost there!

    @anyatver – Thanks! I will definitely do that.

    @tncincy
    – Yes, I use Becker. I understand what you're going through. None of this is really interesting to me. LOL. My love has always been tax. I'm hoping that will make studying for Reg much easier. Just try to get through the information and really let it all sink in. My goal is to take this test the first week of April. But honestly, I will be ok if I had to move it back a week. But I'm determined to learn it and pass it. I have to keep reminding myself that this is all on my time. It relieves most of the stress of studying. I also don't want to be studying Far forever. LOL. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to pass too instead of just studying. What I've learned is that we have to put in the work and trust the process. We got this! Have you scheduled your test yet?
