I'm back from my exam!!! So happy it's over. I'm not sure how to feel about it… the first set of MC was def “easy” and I would say the second and third were a tad harder but I didn't notice a huge change so I don't know what to think. The Sims were what I expected from hearing everyone else talk. I walked out with an hour left :S that can't be good right? I didn't feel like I rushed. I guess time will tell!!!!!

The wait is on for scores!

And by “I had Journal Entries on every tab (except the written one and look-up ones of course) for both of my simulations πŸ™ ” I meant on my practice tests of course πŸ™‚

that is crazy; you must of missed some tabs; I would be worried; no body better violate any rules here that would be utterly stupid if I see anything I will report it to Jeff so he can delete it and take appropriate action

Just wanted to let everyone know what happened with my score release. I took FAR (last section) in early january and I was anticipating being in wave 1. However, a couple weeks ago, when all the scores were released, mine was not. I called NASBA and they confirmed that they did not have my score. BUT, my score came in the mail yesterday out of nowhere (and thankfully, I passed!). Now when I go to NASBA, i type in my info and my score comes up. strange.

Wow that's crazy!! I'm glad you got it and it was a pass!! πŸ™‚

Yeah, I'm not sure how I ended up with so much time left cuz with Reg I finished with a minute left and was panicking about it. But with FAR I averaged 30-35 min per MC section which left me about 2 hours and 20 min for the Sims. I either totally over studied or I totally bombed haha Let's hope it's the first one!

Guccimane, you're right, we don't want the spotlight to be on nobody…

To the best of my knowledge, my posts have hopefully been in compliance with those “pesky” disclosures.

But, Please, Think Before You Post Folks!!!

    NJTProadwarrior,

I noticed that you had some trouble with BEC (please excuse the observation). I am taking BEC on Monday and was wondering what you found to be the most difficult aspect of that exam? I feel fairly well prepared but want to be completely ready.

    Any help would be appreciated!

thenarvin,,, its no problem,, it was the cost accounting , a/k/a “Planning and Measurement” section where I experienced the most difficulty, I studied for that section for a solid two weeks before the second time I took it and 3-4 days (out of 12 days) before the third time I took it. Additionally, I work in Information Technology so that was a no brainer, and I'm into economics and investing so those parts came to me easy..

My suggestion, absolutely memorize and know how to apply ALL the formulas that your review course tells you to, and focus and go over as many MCQ's as you can with the weighty portions (business structure – which is strict memorization, IT, financial mgmt, and the cost accounting)… i hope that was a little helpful

Sources: AICPA/Content Specification Outline – BEC, Yaeger CPA Review, Personal Study Experience. Now i'm getting paranoid. LOL.

I took FAR today and I ran out of time on the sim. I didn't do half of two tabs and research on the second sim. πŸ™

I don't know how you can do all in time. I was in such a rush by the time I got to the sims. I had 1 hour and 20 mins left. To those taking FAR, I suggest leaving at least 50 mins on each sim testlet. I think I could have spent less time on MC and gotten more points on sim cuz I knew the answer to some sim but couldn't get the answers in there in time.

I found MC's pretty difficult too. I really don't know how I did but just glad it's over now.
