My FAR exam was the same. The MC were really hard, but not impossible, but once I got to the SIMS, WOW!!! Ridiculous!! The only thing I am leaning on is that I completed the entire exam. Didn't leave any blank, but a few on the SIMS were complete guesses. I have been wondering the same thing. Has anyone thought the exam was ridiculous and walked out feeling completely defeated and then ended up passing?

I took FAR 2/21.It took me a lot of time completing the first sim and I just put educated guesses on almost all of the items on the 2nd simwith 2mins on the clock except the com and research.FAR is hard and there aint enough time to complete the test.I guess I did poorly on the sims.Why not make it 4.5hrs just like AUD considering its more time consuming to analyze and compute the responses?the 3 MCs are moderate to very difficult.I dont know if I pass.

Jobe that's EXACTLY how I felt. I went in feeling unprepared (I only studied about 80 hours) and walked out thinking at best there was a 5% chance I passed. I felt like the test really kicked my butt. But I ended up getting an 81, so not all hope is lost.

Was that how your test was when you got a 69? If so… then perhaps I already know my score… haha. I just bought the Yaeger Review course for FAR, I am going to start studying again Monday under the assumption I failed big time. I was feeling so good until I got to the SIMs, damnet!

JE's are awesome way to capture points for partial credit easy; just knowing the concept gets you half way there

if you are a real accountant JE's should be old hat to you by now… don't be afraid to attempt them

Thanks GaJone, I am trying to keep hope alive but with this exam you never know until you see the score.

My exam was exactly the same. JE's on every tab of SIM 1 and 2. Really ridiculous JE's.

One thing different about my exam from what others are saying is that my first & second MC tabs were really hard.

I see people saying the first tab should be easier and not take long, but my exam was not like that. I felt like the

problems on the 3rd MC testlet were shorter and like it was meant to be easier, but I still struggled on the third testlet.

Maybe they were shorter in length, but still tricky.

Guys, be careful with your posts, I'm not trying to be your Daddy or anything, but apparently, my understanding is that the AICPA monitors (not like a hawk, but is aware of) this blog, among others, and some of these recent posts violate disclosure rules, which I'm sure I'm guilty of myself from time to time… just a reminder…
