There is no miracle study material if you know enough you will pass and you need some luck.

    Good tomorrow you guys!!

I'm sweating it for Friday. Three of my co-workers passed Far the first time with Becker. My other co-worker used Gliem and didn't pass. I'm using Becker so I hope in the passing group. I can't do FAR again!! it's the worst. Thinking about take it Friday is giving me a stomach ache.

Good luck with BEC – Biggest word of advice there: READ, and RE-READ the entire question… some will seem so easy at first glance and you'll rush to answer the question… then when you re-read it you'll catch the word “not”, “if” etc. and realize there was a catch… just go slow, and be aware. Don't take it lightly.

    ? AUD - 87 (8/12/09)
    ? REG - 77 (1/15/10
    ? BEC - 77 (1/6/09 - Expired) / 79 (11/18/10)
    ? FAR - 75 (2/11/11)

I reviewed some of the big sections the day before the exam and read through the flashcards a couple times. There was no time left to read every chapter but skim through it to see what you highlighted. The flashcards hit the big points & helped me remember and included the mnemonics and any formats/formulas that were in the book. Biggest advice for FAR – always always always check the dates. Not every fiscal year ends on Dec. 31 & not everything was initiated on Jan. 1. I almost screwed many questions just because of that.

Good advice! I noticed when I doing review questions that I was getting them wrong because I didn't pay close enough attention to the date.

Just went over the AICPA 2009 released questions for FAR. Got 36 of 50 right, not great, but not horrible, I think it's a great way to start studying today… really got me in the mindset of the type of questions they would ask… it's also safe to say that Becker likes to get really detailed and extensive on some of their questions, so it's nice to see some questions go back to a more straight-forward, direct question approach.

good news to those that feel a little lost when it comes to FAR. i took it last month… did NOT feel good about it and even ran out of time on my last simulation. there was just so much information that i felt like i only knew a little bit about each topic instead of knowing them all inside and out. turns out, my knowledge was enough because i passed with a 77! i was so shocked… so for those of you that are frustrated with not getting many MC questions right… just keep at it! a basic knowledge should get you through. 🙂 good luck!

Which day of last month you took your exam? I took it on 2/13 and still wait for my score. I know some one took FAR on 2/12 already got their score. There was just so much information and little time to complete it. I hope I will be like you know basic knowledge and pass the exam at the end of month when score come out. I ran out of time for FAR exam also which I never ran out the time for other exams before.

Can anyone please tell me how many MC's per testlet in the FAR exam. I know there are two simulations. I thought it was 30 per testlet with a total of 90. But I have Wiley 2010 Test Bank software and in the practice test it has only 60 MC's. So I am kind of confused.

I got my money back on that Wiley so many wrong things with it; totally wrong for them to produce a product and then not stand by it!

    83 Reg, 76 BEC, 94 Aud, 79 Far

    Done ......!
