The questions are “retired” and no longer used, however the topics are still current. The questions I got were not verbatum.

Personally, I took it easy the day before the exam. I studied for maybe 30 minutes, and all I did was breeze through the Chapter 1 materials only because I hadn't looked at them in a while and wanted those “Passing Feels Terrific” and “Nobody Relies on Financials unless Verified” acronyms (among others) stuck in my head, but honestly that was about it. I didn't want to be stressed out or burnt out on the material and wanted to be as relaxed as possible while taking the exam. I feel like this really helped me out.

Would you say the difficulty is comparable? I just did the first 10 and got 8 of 10 right… but I felt they were easier than items I see on Becker…

Oh yeah! When I did the AICPA questions I thought to myself, “Man, these are easy compared to all this Becker stuff. I'm going to kill it tomorrow!”

I thought my exam questions were “easier” than Becker's too, but I still failed. I think I was rushing and not reading the questions thoroughly. Read them carefully… lots of tricks. Save plenty of time for the simulations. I got destroyed there timewise.

Know how to do journal entries for everything under the sun and them some!

I know. I've had 3 semesters of advanced financial reporting and I hate JEs. I was blasted with JEs on almost every tab. They say the retake is completely different so I am hoping I get NO journal entries next time:))

The thought of restudying FAR is making me nauseous.

Don't worry, I'll be right there with you after I take the exam tomorrow. I am going to keep studying, starting Monday (3/8), in the event I have to re-take in April… what study material are you using for FAR? I'm using Becker 2009 right now, I am considering buying a new book, maybe even the 2010 version, to continue studying…

Through 20 of the released questions, having scored 14 right… and these are supposedly “easy”, should I be scared come tomorrow… not sure why I'm letting this exam scare me, none of the others ones scared me, they were more annoying than scary.
