Not that I am rich but the fee is nothing compared to passing FAR. The more tries I do the better I get (hopefully)

So if I take FAR in Feb 2010, results will be out by Mar 2010?

yep! you'll get your results in March and will have plenty of time to reapply and take it in the April/May window in the off chance you don't pass 😉

I will be doing the same.

    Hey everyone,

I'm starting to study for FAR tomorrow. I'm worried, because this stuff was the hardest for me in college. Any advice, tips? Am I gonna be able to pass this thing even if I am not strong with much of this material?

I am scheduled to take it 2.26, and planning to study 6-8 hours a day…5/6 days a week… using Becker… tips?

    ? AUD - 87 (8/12/09)
    ? REG - 77 (1/15/10
    ? BEC - 77 (1/6/09 - Expired) / 79 (11/18/10)
    ? FAR - 75 (2/11/11)

I'm with you, I didn't like this stuff in college so that's why I put off FAR till hopefully last.

Once I finally dug into the material which was difficult in itself… I'm finding it's not as bad as I remember from school. I've watched the lectures, so now I'm reading it a section at a time and doing that section's questions. It makes it less intimidating and I am finding the information is actually sticking and I understand it. So my advice… slow and steady wins the race! And don't get intimdated.

For those of you doing 6-8 hours a day of studying… how much do you get through? I've been lucky enough to be studying during work, but I don't feel like I get through as much material as I thought I would in that much time. Are you getting through a chapter in that time? Reading? Watching lectures? Questions?

Just wondering if I'm going super slow.

I am able to get through a lecture and questions usually, with some additional work, maybe notes, and simulations… I don't spend too much time on simulations, I've learned they don't help as much as knowing the material does… meaning knowing the concepts, which MCs usually do a better job testing/learning.

Anyone using Becker to study for FAR?

I'm having a hard time figuring out which chapters (F1 thru F-9) carry the most weight on the exam. Can anyone help?

OMG! I am soooo nervous. My exam is on February 10th and I am just plain freaking out! I need some motivation! I do NOT want to even glance at this gigantic book again, let alone study it intensely. I took this in July and got a 60 thinking, “How hard can this really be? I just went to school for this for four year.” Well I was wrong as my score shows, and now I have Yaeger and I am just freaking out. Any advice? I only have a week and a half left.
