Yes – I was working full time and had 3 kids. In order to do something like that, it requires getting up early, studying at lunch, and staying late at work at least 3 nights a week until 9pm or so. Repeat.

I have a question regarding Becker supplemental questions for chapter 8, Gov acctg.

I am doing the 123 supplemental questions for chapter 8, governmental acctg. I decided to do it because this is one of my weak areas. What I am finding is: most of the questions are more difficult than the ones on the real exam. I have really hard time with questions asking what account we should debit/credit. I am just making good guesses but not sure at all. So my question is, is it just me that my exam had easier gov acctg questions because I was not doing well or you also find the supplemental questions to be harder. I am trying to find out should I go so far or not bother with supp questions? Thanks.

Take this with a grain of salt because I am no financial accounting master by any means. I have never taken a governmental or NFP class in my life and I watched Becker's F-8 and F-9 lectures and did just the homework questions, no supplemental. Gov't. was one of the areas I actually did “comparable” in. For me, the homework questions alone prepared me well. No, it's not you, I thought the questions were easier than Becker's.

I ran out of time on the last simulation, and the screen popped up and said you are out of time. The information I filled out on the last sim is still submitted correct?

All you did should be preserved when this screen appears. I almost always use my time till the last second and wait for the screen to appear. A lot of people do this actually… So don't worry…

What do you do to restudy for a third time?

Hopefully, there is no third time for me but I want to keep studying (not very intense) during June just to not lose the habit and retain the material.

I tried the life class BeCKER again but feel like it is not working. After going through the same material for so many times I feel like the life class is waste of time (before the class seemed very intensive, now it seems like going in slow motion.

I also tried the supplemental questions but not happy with this approach either. How do you do it?

Do you have fresh questions you could do? If there are areas you feel need improvement perhaps targeting those concepts may be a good way to keep the information fresh.
