Not me haha. I worked 10-12 hour days and was 4 points short from passing.

    Same here..made a 71 and studied from end of November 2009 – January 24, 2010.

I started studying March 5th for my April 5th retake. Got in about 110 hours, barely. So we'll see if it was enough. Felt terrible coming out of the exam though.

    AUD 95 (3/5/10); BEC 83 (5/28/10); FAR 71, 72, 74, 82 (10/16/10); REG 65,80(11/23/10)
    ALL DONE 🙂

I studied 169 hours for FAR. I kind of had a rough start getting going and wasn't putting in enough hours in the early weeks. I studied for 12 weeks (but took off one week for random stuff and a different week for a trip to CA). The time off pushed me back a bit, but in the end I passed with a 76. THANK GOD!!!

I always wondered….do you guys/girls use a stopwatch to keep track of hours?

I started FAR in March and will take by middle of April while working full time. Total clocked time should be around 120-130 hours. It is similar to what I've done for other sections, although more content in FAR obviously.

Pursuit, I track my time but don't go as far as to use a stopwatch. I track my daily and cumulative study time on my blog, which is how I know what I've done. I do deduct time out of my study time if I eat, check email & these forums, yak on the phone or anything else. Basically my numbers are actual focused study time. I usually lose 30-45 minutes a day in ‘other stuff time' so that to get my 4 hours of counted study time it takes 4.5-5 hours of clock time.

On a side note, keeping track of things on my blog has been incredibly stress relieving throughout the process. As an added bonus I've gotten to exchange comments and emails with tons of folks I would never have without it.

I started tracking my time for my FAR retake…didn't do it the first time or for AUD. It was out of curiousity because I saw everyone noting their times. It is eye opening though and helps you stay honest with yourself. I also track my homework scores now for the same reason.

    AUD 95 (3/5/10); BEC 83 (5/28/10); FAR 71, 72, 74, 82 (10/16/10); REG 65,80(11/23/10)
    ALL DONE 🙂

I am going to track my re-study time for FAR. I had a schedule that I stuck to pretty well last time but I'm not sure of the actual hours. I know I took me 2 1 /2 months. It's hard with all the interruptions at work. Sometimes I will spend way too much time on a topic trying to understand it. Hopefully it will be a little easier the 2nd time around.

FAR is the toughest, I've put-in 260 hours to pass! I went very, very, very slow during my studies …..it's the most brutal exam ever…I hate FAR more than AUD, and have failed AUD 2x and passed FAR the first time!….

    I'm putting-in another 100hours for AUD….it's my last test!

Pursuit, you were so close; damn a 74, you should have challenged that 74!????…..Well you'll get that 75 soon enough…

Make sure you have a good exam taking strategy for FAR….go fast during MCQs so you have enough time for the SIMS and always guess “b” on the MCQs if you don't know how to solve in the first 30 seconds…..and for the written communication write a ton of shit….

    BEC=77, FAR=78, REG=73,74,80, AUD=70,69, 84 DONE!

I have found the sims don't matter half of these people claim on the forums that they dont answer the tabs of the sims (Scored stronger on Sims)…so you shouldn't go fast on the multiple choice questions. They want you to run out of time, its all psychological

Guess “B” on the MC if you don't know the answer?

May I ask where you got that study tip?

I wish I'd known it sooner if there's any truth behind it.

I think the multiple choice questions are really the meat of the exam grade. I see where people leave sim tabs blank and still pass because they did great on the multiple choice. I wouldn't suggest racing through them but don't get hung up on them either. The wording can be very tricky and check those dates. I rushed to make sure I had time for the sims and ended up “weaker” on both mcq and sims.
