Rahulcpa, I am from NY as well and FAR is my last section. I tried doing the loophole in TN and it kept telling me that the exam is still in process.  However, I just called Nasba today and was informed that they did have my score.  I tried the loophole in both TN and OH and they both said that i passed all four parts. I am trying my best not to get my hopes up.

Best of luck finding a job. With this burden behind you, it will make it less stressful.

I hope your right. I still do not want to get my hopes up. I would think it would be a miracle since I felt like I was at my furneal during the exam

Legend- I had the same feeling during the simulation portions. The MCQs were ok, but the simulations were out of this world.(very long, too much calculations and hard, I run out of time) I had the test on 05/05 in Texas and still do not have the score. I really do not know what to expect, I think that I failed because of the simulations. This wait is terrible.

Jeff, I just received a 74 for FAR in CA. It says that it is an advisory score. Have you ever seen them change the advisory score? Have you ever heard that someone challenged the score and they were able to bump up to a 75? Im shocked. A 74!

IL- 5/12.  I have seen some that passed just after my sitting date so I am assuming I made the first wave, but I don't have a score.  Anyone from IL out there that got posted this morning in wave 1b (the 383 released yesterday)?  Trying to see if my score got held for further review again.  I waited almost 3 months in Jan/Feb for Audit.

    IL - 11/24 AUD

@ soanxious  – I sat on 5/10 and I dont have my score either.  I think the cut-off was the 7th for nasba states so we will have to wait till mid June!!!   sucks the big one.  Good luck!

Calikid2010- I feel your pain, the exact same thing happened to me. I am in CA and got a 74 on FAR this window. What is worse is that it was supposed to be my last exam, but since I failed that, my BEC expired. So I go from having 1 test left to 2 tests left because of 1 lousy point!

Anyways, to answer your question, I have never heard of a final score changing from the advisory score. And I hear that challenging the score is just a waste of time and money, as I don't believe anyone's score has ever changed because of it since apparently they just make sure the correct answer key was used? I think your best bet (and I'll be doing this too) is to get a reapplication in and just start studying again while the material is semi-fresh.

    sf_acctg,
o my! That is a bummer. Out of all the exams, I disliked BEC the most. I held FAR for the last and studied the least for it, hoping to study enough just to pass. Sorta the slack you get your last year in highschool. Well, when I walked out, I thought, o no, backfired! Went home, sent my 50 bucks off to the state and sat the waiting game. Woke up this morning, saw the 74, went straight to the exam selection tab and click that ole FAR once again. So are you gonna double up and sit both exams close to each other or do you have enough time to focus one and then the other?

I took FAR on April 2nd, and I still have not received a score.  The state (MS) still has not received it yet.  Yet, I took AUD on May 13th and the state sent me my score yesterday.  Don't know if I passed yet though.  They will not say over the phone.  Mississippi is not a NASBA state.  Since they still do not have my FAR results, even though I took it at the very beginning of the window, should I be concerned?  Is it an indicator I failed?  I don't know what to think.

legend, you definitely passed.  if it says you've passed all 4 parts then you did b/c think about it, nasba is not going to have a message like that if there's a chance it's going to be wrong.  loophole or not, they know that there is a message out there so it's not like you are cheating the system.  congrats!  and btw, i felt like i failed reg and far miserably – didn't finish either exam & i used the loophole along with a friend and we both got the pass message and sure enough, last night we found out we passed the exam.  i think you can start celebrating

    BEC 76 AUD 86 FAR 81 REG 79

    FINALLY FINISHED!!!!

Calikid2010 – that just plain sucks.

I know how 74s feel – I had them back to back with REG.

To answer your question, no…I've never heard of an advisory score being wrong.

Please don't let this dampen your motivation…I've been there. I had 74-74 and lost my FAR score because of it. I stuck it out and passed.

Does anyone have any suggestions for preparing for the FAR sims?  I am studying with Becker.  Is Becker enough or would you recommend purchasing additional practice sims.

    Thanks!
